LEGION: There's A Lot Of Chatter In This Creepy New Season 2 Preview

FX has released another creepy new preview for Legion season two and while there is some new footage, it's not very helpful as we still don't know what's happening to David Haller. Come check it out!

After one helluva cliffhanger, Legion returns for its second season in just over a month and while, we've already been treated to a couple teaser videos, this latest one may arguably be the creepiest one yet.

The promo only runs about 15 seconds, but it's jam-packed with new footage as we see David Haller (Dan Stevens) and Syd Barrett (Rachel Keller) seemingly reunite, but it doesn't take long to figure out that something is seriously wrong. Could this be another figment of David's vivid imagination or is it the return of the Shadow King?

Watch the "Chatter Preview" below:

Legion, based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, is the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens) – a troubled young man who may be more than human.

Diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. Now in his early 30s and institutionalized once again, David loses himself in the rhythm of the structured regimen of life in the hospital: breakfast, lunch, dinner, therapy, medications, sleep. David spends the rest of his time in companionable silence alongside his chatterbox friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), a fellow patient whose life-long drug and alcohol addiction has done nothing to quell her boundless optimism that her luck is about to change. The pleasant numbness of David’s routine is completely upended with the arrival of a beautiful and troubled new patient named Syd (Rachel Keller). Inexplicably drawn to one another, David and Syd share a startling encounter, after which he must confront the shocking possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees are the result of him being a mutant.

A haunted man, David escapes from the hospital and seeks shelter with his sister Amy (Katie Aselton). But Amy’s concern for her brother is trumped by her desire to protect the picture perfect suburban life she’s built for herself. Eventually, Syd guides David to Melanie Bird (Jean Smart), a nurturing but demanding therapist with a sharp mind and unconventional methods. She and her team of specialists – Ptonomy (Jeremie Harris), Kerry (Amber Midthunder) and Cary (Bill Irwin) – open David’s eyes to an extraordinary new world of possibilities.

Legion features:
Dan Stevens as David Haller
Rachel Keller as Sydney "Syd" Barrett
Aubrey Plaza as Lenny Busker
Jean Smart as Melanie Bird
Bill Irwin as Cary Loudermilk
Jeremie Harris as Ptonomy Wallace
Amber Midthunder as Kerry Loudermilk
Katie Aselton as Amy Haller
Jean Smart as Melanie Bird
Jemaine Clement as Oliver Bird
Navid Negahban as Amahl Farouk/Shadow King

@AbidNaga - it's a good finale but not as good as the two episodes prior to be honest. Bit I recommend finishing the season.

While I would like the xmen to stay at fox (I'm not completely against them entering the MCU, if they retcon New Mutants and Deadpool into the MCU + let Fox do one more Xmen film to wrap up the Fox series, I don't want Dark Phoenix to end in a cliffhanger that's never resolved).

That being said, Disney better keep this show running after the acquisition. I know they want to start fresh and either reboot and/ or retcon the everything xmen into the MCU, and that would mean the end of this show. This show needs to just exists by itself, it doesn't need to connect with the MCU; part of its greatness is that it doesn't seem to connect to a cinematic universe allowing everything on the tables.

@StormXmen123 - I think the best idea is to keep the Fox-Men franchise going with a soft reboot while doing a dimension story to bring them into team ups. I mean, that addresses the biggest problem with them suddenly appearing in a pretty well established universe. And we'll still get them teaming up and MCU can still add their own flavor to the formula.

At the same time though, I hope the deal doesn't go through. That's just too much power for Disney.

@Origame - I'm against the deal because of Monolpy mostly and because I fear we won't get spinoff like New Mutants not because of the rating or horror theme but because there simply isn't enough time in the schedule to have xmen spinoffs in the MCU; they need to balance all the other franchises.

I to wouldnt mind a "universe merge" but I find that unlikely, unless Dark Phoenix is a huge hit and warrants the, continuting with that story and cast.

My personal hope, though unlikely, is that they decided to keep the actors but reboot charactors in the MCU. So Fassbender would play an MCU Magneto who has an MCU history and story (not related in anyway to the Fox version; not that it's bad).
I think the biggest loss is that we will be loosing great actors in the roles. Macvoy and Fassbender are great as Xavier and Magento and could it'll play them for decades.

I finally bit the bullet and watched this show on Hulu and wasn't all that impressed.

No real Marvel source material and just a bunch of annoying scenes that you couldn't tell were real or dreamed or imaginary during the first few episodes. It got a little more coherent but I definitely don't see this a real Marvel show. Runaways is better, AOS and Gifted are far better Marvel oriented as well.
