Speaking to TV Line, Tal had the following to say about FX's upcoming adaption of the Brian Michael Bendis comic, Powers:

TVLINE | What can you say about your FX pilot Powers? Are you part of the regular cast if gets picked up?
Yes, I am. If anybody doesn’t know Powers, look it up because it’s a wonderful comic by Brian Michael Bendis. Powers is basically a cop drama set in a world where people have powers. These people have different levels of powers. … I’m playing one of the very powerful ones. I play Zora. She’s lived for thousands of years. She’s very strong. Very badass. Doesn’t give an eff about anybody. She’s not trying to be liked by anybody. [It's a] very gritty pilot. Jason Patric’s in it. Vinnie Jones is in it. Lucy Punch is in it. We have some really, really, really good people in this pilot, and some really good people behind it.

TVLINE | When do you find out if the show is picked up or not?
I’m hoping to find out very soon. I’m hoping very, very soon. So if everybody can cross their fingers out there for me in the next month… Let’s give it a month. I won’t ask for people to cross their fingers for longer than that.

I also recently exchanged some tweets with Bendis about the show and he was kind enough to let me know when we can expect to see the pilot episode of the show.

Powers is an American creator-owned police procedural comic book series by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Avon Oeming. The series' first volume was published by Image Comics from 2000 to 2004. In 2004 the series moved to Marvel Comics as a part of its Icon imprint.

Combining the genres of superhero fantasy, crime noir and the police procedural, the series follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, assigned to investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, who are referred to colloquially as "powers".

God I hope it does, Bendis is an amazing writer, This is basically his crossover comic from crime and detective comics to super hero comics. He originally wasn't a big fan of writing super hero stuff, and this series was so good. If he is involved in the project then I have no doubt it will be great.

@write33, true I guess, but you got to admit, that also shows that they are sticking close to the story, which is usually the best thing any comic based show can do.

i would hate for this not to get picked up - like wonder woman sounded like it had a lot of steam only for it never to air properly (although it was wonder woman so...) - but yeah love powers and can't wait for june!

Vinnie Jones is in the pilot? That's either awesome or terrible - I'm not quite sure.

I am interested in seeing this, especially if Alona Tal is involved. But I have to be honest as I didnt care for Powers myself. I read 5-6 books into the series and just did nothing for me.

Wishing the best for the tv show.
