It would appear that the Runaways TV series from Hulu could possibly be hitting streaming devices sooner rather than later as Tamara Becher (who also worked on Marvel's Iron Fist collaboration with Netflix) just Tweeted that today marks the first day of her work on Runaways.
Just how many episodes Becher will be writing is currently a mystery although the timing of her announcement likely indicates that she's at the very least, writing the pilot.
What are your expectations for the series? If you're not already a Hulu subscriber, is this a show that could potentially make you sign up?

ABOUT RUNAWAYS
Runaways debuted in 2003 from Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona and followed the teenage children of an evil crime syndicate known as The Pride. The series lasted 18 issue but was cancelled in September 2004. However, the tpb collection went on to be a surprise bestseller and Marvel resurrected the title in 2005 and published regular issues until 2009.
Marvel Studios had a film adaptation in development as early as 2008 but various factors kept the film from ever joining Marvel's slate of upcoming releases. Drew Pearce's work on the script is what led to Kevin Feige selecting him to write the screenplay for Iron Man 3.
First announced last August, Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are spearheading development.
