THE GIFTED Behind-The-Scenes Images Give Us A New Look At Emma Dumont As Polaris; Green Hair Confirmed

Well, green streaks! Actress Emma Dumont has shared a couple of new BTS shots from Fox TV's upcoming X-Men drama series, The Gifted, and one of 'em should make comic purists feel a little better...

Emma Dumont has shared more behind-the-scenes images of her The Gifted character Lorna Dane, AKA Polaris, to her Instagram account, and one of them should please fans who were disappointed that Lorna was lacking a certain distinguishing feature of her comic book counterpart.

The second pic - which Dumont has now seemingly deleted - features the actress with her arm around castmate Jamie Chung (Blink), and as you can see, green streaks are clearly visible in the back of her hair. Not quite the full head of emerald locks she sports in the comics, but it's something.

The Gifted premieres this fall.

Big Kevin Feige phone interview. It's very interesting and you get insight into what Kevin is like and what it was like when he was an up and comer.

It's not a "GREEN HAIR", like always in movies when a character have a different color in the hair they give just parts.

Expect for both Quicksilvers uhasduhsad

I figure that it must be make-up and costume designer types in Hollywood that are so against giving characters straight-out crazy hair colors that actually match the comics. I see cosplayers pull off cool looking colored wigs and dye jobs all the time, not to mention teens doing it for a daily look. Actually going with a full-on green hair look probably offends the sensibilities of the make-up artists or something.

Agents of Shield did the same thing with Madame Hydra... just the ends of her hair were green, and only if you caught it in the right light.

@Chewtoy - I think there is some justification of Polaris having some green hair as opposed to having it fully green.
She likely every other mutant seems to be hunted by the government thus she will have to hide and blend in with the crowd.

I also feel this show will have the mutants rising up and forming a group (like x-men/brotherhood) as a symobol of resistence for the mutants and the government. There I can see her dawning her full green hair as a symbol for other mutants to look up to.
