Disney+ has released a new teaser for episodes 5 and 6 of VisionQuest, and, as is often the case, the footage may give slightly too much away for anyone hoping to go in knowing as little as possible.

Spoilers follow.

Last week's double bill concluded with Jocasta (T'Nia Miller) making her presence felt when it came to light that she used to be Doctor Jo Carrington, one of the early Stark AI scientists who was believed to have died of natural causes. As the "Butcherbird" killer, Jocasta has been collecting biomarkers from her victims, and needed Dr. Katerina Wells' (guest star Mary McDonnell) facial recognition scan as the final key.

A badly damaged Vision (Paul Bettany) was no match for Jocasta, and allowed Ultron to "take the wheel" after he promised to return control once the threat was neutralized. Not too surprisingly, the genocidal villain went back on his word, taking control of Vision's body after first tricking Jocasta into vaporizing the doctor, seemingly rendering the final key useless.

In the comics, Ultron created Jocasta to be his "Bride," and sure enough, it looks like these incredibly powerful beings are going to join forces, possibly becoming a lot closer than allies with a common goal.

The promo also shows Ultron referring to Tommy as a "real son of a witch," and Lisa Mollinari seemingly being taken over by a mysterious presence.

"When VisionQuest begins, Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate.

As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron’s influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive.”

VisionQuest also stars Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff/Speed and Thomas Shepherd, Todd Stashwick as Paladin, T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, Lauren Morais as Lisa Molinari, Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., Diane Morgan as an associate of Paladin, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E, Jonathan Sayer as U, Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., and James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S. Faran Tahir also reprises his Iron Man role as Raza, with Cristian Lavin and Mary McDonnell appearing in undisclosed roles.

The series is directed by Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, Vincenzo Natali, Terry Matalas, and written by Terry Matalas, Cindy Appel, Christopher Monfette, Nicole Falsetti, and Matthew Okumura.

Is this show any good? I tried watching the first episode. I really had no interest. And I love the MCU. Should I be giving it a chance?

@Batmandalorian - if you tried to watch the first episode and couldn’t, you kind of answered your own question

@Batmandalorian - It's their best show yet, in my opinion. But it requires homework.

Not sure you'll agree if you couldn't get through the first episode. It doesn't become something different, if that's what you're asking.

This show has been really good to me. Stark legacy is all through this without taking away from the main characters story.

@MyCoolYoung - agreed.

It would be hard to not acknowledge Stark due to his involvement in their creation.

I especially liked Friday recounting her trauma over his death , it’s like she has PTSD which is interesting from an AI.

@TheVisionary25 - yup. There’s some things there with all of them. And with critics saying the last two stuck the landing, I’m curious to see what goes down

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this show it’s very entertaining but I know I’m on the minority but I can’t stand the guy playing Speed he’s not a very good actor just shouting his lines

Looks good!!.

I like that even though Ultron didn’t create Jocasta in this continuity , he’s still enamored/fascinated by her due to the whole “peace in our time” thing aswell as her seemingly being this human consciousness put into an android body.

Also cool to see them do the half face homage from the comics last episode…

Also there have been a lot of cool parallel storytelling in this show with both Vision & Tommy wrestling with their identity’s (aswell as EDITH to an extent) and we are getting this intergenerational “father & son” story with Ultron & Vision and then Vision & Tommy while also getting this generational history of AI in the MCU from Phineas Horton & J.I.M to Markridge Biotech who used that as the basis for their work in AI after which Katerina Wells sold it to Tony Stark after Jo Carrington’s death who then used that as the template for his own A.I’s.

It all seems like a lot but Terry Matalas & his writers seemed to have balanced it all well so far as I have enjoyed the series quite a bit as we are halfway through now thus hoping the final 4 episodes wrap it up satisfyingly!!.
