WandaVision will, of course, focus primarily on Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany's titular Avengers, but several other MCU characters are expected to play key roles, including an older incarnation of Monica Rambeau.
We first met "Lieutenant Trouble" as a child in the Captain Marvel movie when she bonded with Brie Larson's Carol Danvers, and she'll be reintroduced as an adult in the Disney+ series.
Now, Disney+ has debuted a new international poster which puts the spotlight on If Beal Street Could Talk actress Teyonah Parris as Rambeau in her '50s sitcom getup.
In the comics, Monica was the second hero to take up the mantle of Captain Marvel (she's also been known as Photon, Pulsar, and Spectrum) and possessed the power of flight along with the ability to travel at the speed of light and even transform herself into pure energy. We don't know if that will carry over to this small screen take on the character, but there's definitely a chance we could see her suit-up in the MCU at some point.
For now, all we really know about Monica's role in WandaVision is that she'll be working with the S.H.I.E.L.D. splinter group known as S.W.O.R.D., and will seemingly be involved in an attempt to snap Wanda out of the alternate reality she (or someone else) has constructed around her.
How do you think Rambeau will factor into the plot of WandaVision? Drop us a comment down below.
