WHAT IF? TV Spot Asks Us To Question Everything We Think We Know About The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Marvel Studios has shared another TV spot for What If...?, and it probably won't surprise you to learn that it includes heaps of intriguing footage (making it clear we should expect the unexpected).

With a little over a week to go until What If...? arrives on Disney+, Marvel Studios has shared another 30-second preview that's bound to get you excited for the MCU's first animated adventure(s).

There are some very exciting new snippets of footage here, but there's one shot, in particular, that really grabs our attention. As you can see, there's a version of The Avengers made up of Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye...and Black Panther!

While T'Challa was part of #TeamIronMan in Captain America: Civil War, we never actually got to see him line up with the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes as an "official" member of the team. If that's what we're getting in this episode of What If...?, it's obviously special on a number of levels.

We were recently part of the global press conference for the Disney+ series, and got to ask director Bryan Andrews and star Jeffrey Wright about working with the late Chadwick Boseman on the episode that sees T'Challa become Star-Lord. Read their lengthy, emotional response here

So apparently Marvel didn’t ask everyone to come back to close their character? Originally thought it would have been then rejecting.

Tchalla Starlord doesn't make sense to me going by the plot of GOTG2.

I have a feeling that, outside of the multiverse stuff, they are setting up the Avengers to be an all-female team going forward. Think about who they have now, and who is on-tap: Capt. Marvel, Ms. Marvel, America Chavez, She-Hulk, IronHeart, Black Panther/ Shuri, Black Widow/ Yelena, Stature/ Cassie Lang. Just add the new Capt. America as the token male.
