It’s gonna be very bittersweet watching those episodes and hearing his voice. But at least we get a little more of him as Black Panther

The preview for WHAT IF didn’t do much for me. Outside of Jeffrey Wright as the Watcher.

Those episodes will hit the most

🤔
Interesting.

Wonder if they considered repurposing the dialogue recorded for the Animated and using it in the live action sequel coupled with a Carrie Fisher/Peter Cushing/Mark Hamill CGI recreation.

@IronGenesis - They've given their answer to that already and it's a no.

It's going to be tough to listen to regardless of the context. I'm still not ready to see Ma Rainey's Black Bottom just because I don't want to see anything "last" from Chadwick. I'll likely hold off for another few months just so I get to see it from the view of a celebration of him more than anything else

I'm actually a bit bummed that they seemed to have gone with one singular art style for What If. I was hoping they'd do something like the ANIMATRIX where different artist got to put their spin on the different stories. HOpefully they switch it up in subsequent seasons

If you want to see an incredible performance, check out Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. Chadwick puts on an acting clinic for the ages...

Him being gone still hurts.

Amazing how hard he left his mark with the character in just 3-4 years. Civil War, BP, Infinity War, Endgame, What If. More appearances and fanfare built up than some actors get to do within a trilogy made over much more time (not a knock, just amazing in this context).

I totally get the hesitance to recast... at least... right now.

I just hope that his dancing scene as Star-Lord is to a James Brown. Specifically Get On Up. That would be such a great easter egg. And his name should actually be Star-Prince as a callback to that joke.

Gonna be tough watching his episodes. Ma Rainey was a touch watch. Some of his lines in that film are really chilling.
