Some photos from the set of Netflix's currently shooting adaptation of Mark Millar and Frank Quitely's Jupiter's Legacy comic series have been shared online, and they give us a pretty good look at star Josh Duhamel as Sheldon Sampson, aka The Utopian.

As you can see, the Transformers actor is sporting long grey hair and a beard, and is almost unrecognizable in his comic-accurate superhero costume. Here, his character appears to be facing down a female supervillain.

In the comics, The Utopian is the storied leader of the superhero team known as The Union, who must try to come to terms with an increasingly cynical world he doesn't understand... as well as his own family and teammates.

The series will also star Ben Daniels as Brain-Wave, Leslie Bibb as Lady Liberty, Elena Kampouris as Chloe Sampson, Andrew Horton as Brandon Sampson, Mike Wade as The Flare and Matt Lanter as Skyfox.

It'll be interesting to see how Jupiter's Legacy does, as it has to follow Amazon's The Boys, which has proved to be very popular and shares some very similar themes.

Toronto is killing it with the superhero filming game. Suicide Squad. Shazam. Titans. The Boys. Jupiter's Legacy.

@TheCantilope - It's because of the tax breaks. It's also why a lot of shows are filmed in Vancouver.

They won't have to worry about comic accuracy designs, those are some neat looking suits.

It’s cool to see non-main universe DC and Marvel superhero stuff get some live action love.

I wished that now that HBO Max is coming out (and with that hefty price tag) and DC is occupying space on the big screen that Warner gives someone else some love on their streaming service.
