AHSOKA: Clip From Tonight's Episode Sees Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, And Huyang Battling Villainous Droids

The fourth episode of Ahsoka drops imminently (stay tuned to SFFGazette.com for our spoiler-filled recaps) and a clip has been released by Lucasfilm which sees the title character and Sabine Wren teaming up to take on Morgan Elsbeth's formidable assassin droids.

Huyang also has to show what he's capable of and the whole thing feels like another example of the Disney+ series essentially being Star Wars Rebels in live-action. Some fans have criticised the show's action sequences but it's hard to watch this trio fighting side-by-side with anything other than a grin on your face as a fan of Dave Filoni's work.

During this past April's Star Wars Celebration, Ahsoka Tano actress Rosario Dawson reflected on the intense training the role required.

"We were doing two hours of training a day, seven days a week," she remembered. "And then, you know, we start filming, and I'm having to do training while we're filming. And it was kind of insane to kind of have to forget a fight, a battle that you were so engrossed in, just to kind of pivot to the next one."

"But being that that's such a big part of the character, you know, her physicality, her prowess, her expertise, it was really nice to be able to assume that," Dawson adds. "And when I crossed that threshold of feeling competent and confident in it, it really meant everything. It changed the game for me, for sure."

You can watch this newly released Ahsoka clip in the player below (via SFFGazette.com).

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.

The first three episodes of Ahsoka are now streaming on Disney+.

Nice to see Sabine gear up with her full Mandalorian armor. Since she blocked those shots thanks to her Beskar the next fight she has with Shin it won't be so easy to wound her again.

The teamwork between Ahsoka and Sabine is cool too.

I was worried for a moment for Huyang.

Can't wait for episode 4.

OmG! Another great episode! Finally Haden Christian is getting his due after so long. Great episode and really excited for next episode. Guessing it will be Ahsoka facing her inner demon of not being there for Anakin.

AhSLOWka is horribly boring.

The dialogue is so banal and generic. And the pacing is terrible.

@TyrantBossMedia - I agree with you on the pacing. I agree with you on the dialogue. But I'm liking the show. I guess being burned by Disney so much, this show has been a welcome change. Supposedly the next episode should be pretty sick.

Fingers crossed.

@DarthOmega - I think since Disney has offered such poor quality Star Wars products that many expectations have lowered.

This show is awful,

@TyrantBossMedia - I hope your opinion changes but totally respect it. Ashoka isn't a 100% but the true characters coming from animated and new characters I enjoy just as much as the already established. I'm digging it.

@Whoelsebutkevin - While I watched all of Clone Wars and Rebels and I very much liked Ahsoka's portrayal in her introductory live appearance in The Mandalorian (The Jedi) episode....I am not reminiscent of those cartoons (not saying that you are). So I am not excited about seeing the cartoon characters brought to life.

What I am gauging it on is the acting, writing and development of those characters and the story surrounding them.
Right now It has been a light saber fight per episode so Filoni is falling on the lazy way out.
And the pacing is brutal on this show and the dialogue is sorely lacking.
The show as of now has a lot of issues.

Perhaps my opinion will change over time but there are only 8 episodes total and we are already half way through.
So unless they make a titanic shift in story I don't see my opinion changing.

It's a shame that they have diluted Star Wars so badly.
