Ahsoka is set to premiere on Disney+ one month from today, and Lucaslfilm has released a brief teaser spotlighting the titular Togruta warrior in action.
The promo is mostly made-up of footage from the recent trailer, but there are a few new shots of Tano wielding her dual-lightsabers as she faces off against fellow force-wielders Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati.
Due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Lucasfilm/Star Wars didn't have much of a presence at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, but some costumes and props from Ahsoka were on display on the convention floor.
You can check out a video of the display in the player below along with the new teaser.
In related news, the actress who voiced Ahsoka in the character's animated adventures has spoken about the negative reaction to her debut during an interview with Popverse.
“It’s been quite the journey., it really has. From the very beginning where she was hated. And one thing to note, we were always a season ahead of what you all saw. We were well into season two by the time you all saw the first movie, so I knew how far she had come. When it came out, so many people hated Ahsoka. First, I sobbed into my cheesecake... But then I took a day to have a pity party."
Tano has since become a lot more popular, of course, but there does tend to be some apprehension whenever a new principal character is introduced to an established universe.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
The series stars Rosario Dawson in the title role, with Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, with Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
Kevin Kiner was announced as the series' composer.
Ahoska is written by executive producer Dave Filoni, alongside executive producers Favreau, Kennedy, Wilson, and Beck. Gilchrist is co-executive producer. The series’ directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel and Rick Famuyiwa.
