AHSOKA Trailer & Poster Now Online; First Look At STAR WARS REBELS Characters Revealed!

Though most of the trailers for the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars shows were only screened for Celebration attendees, Lucasfilm did release the first teaser for Ahsoka online, and it's quite something!

“Something’s coming, something dark, I can sense it”

The first day of Star Wars Celebration London is drawing to an end, and while most of the Disney+ series trailers were screened only for attendees, Lucasfilm did officially release the first teaser for Ahsoka online (via SFFGazette.com).

The footage reintroduces Rosario Dawson as fan-favorite force-wielder Ahsoka Tano, who made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian.

We see Ahsoka reunite with Star Wars Rebels characters Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Chopper the droid, and we also get a quick glimpse of Rebels villain Grand Admiral Thrawn (who is seemingly being positioned as the "Heir to the Empire").

The blue-skinned baddie won't be the only threat our heroes will face, however, as Ray Stevenson can be seen wielding a red lightsaber and taking a page out of Darth Vader's Sith playbook with a force-choke. This guy's identity still hasn't been disclosed, but consider us intrigued!

Eman Esfandi is also on board as Ezra Bridger, but he doesn't feature in this trailer.

“I’ve had so many pinch me moments, even on the last day of shooting, when we turn the lightsabers on and I’m in the world of Star Wars,” Dawson told the fans in attendance. “I'm poised and ready, because if this does well we’re going to get a second season.”

Check out the trailer below along with a poster, and let us know what you think.

Ahsoka is set to premiere on Disney+ this August.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead playing a Twi’Lek? This better not awaken anything in me.

Haven't been loving this season of Mando, bit this looks so good.

@MarkCassidy - there’s been some episodes that have been swing and misses but overall I’ve enjoyed it. Last episode was one of the worst of the series but the one before that was one of the best. Win some lose some, I guess.

@MarkCassidy - I’ve seen that a lot, fortunately I’ve been enjoying it quite a bit. The world building has been unexpected and welcome for me. Hope the last two are more up your alley!

@MarkCassidy - Filoni who wrote Rebels and a lot of the best Clone Wars episode is the writer on Ahsoka. Clearly Favreau had no real story to tell post Grogu going to train with Luke until the suits demanded season 3 be filled with more baby Yoda. THE writing has always been simplistic, but season 3 makes s1 and s2 feel like [frick]ing high art by comparison.

Uhhhh...I don't know, all these shows look the same to me. I'll wait for the reviews I guess.

@MaxPaint - I mean it’s all Star Wars so…

@Amaru - I can read a review about a movie and then watch it and disagree with the review, a review is not to form my opinion, is to whether it's worth the try or not. But thanks for your unrequested concern.

@HegoD - yeah. At first I thought it'd be cool if he was Joorus, but we actually know already who he is. Think the name was even already revealed

Himura

@Toonstrack - I have firmly been in the camp of loving lightsabers anytime they're on-screen. This is the first Star Wars live-action show (to my knowledge) where it'll be a regular thing. Obi-Wan only gave us a tease and those scenes were the best parts of the show.

I would say I will have to start watching Rebels, but instead I'll just go in blind and pretend to know what's going on.

Legit stoked for Thrawn tho

@KaptainKhaos - i would say temper your expectations on thrawn. that clip doesnt mean he is in it a whole lot. or if we get more than that back of the head shot. ill believe he is in it fully when i see proof. until then i will enjoy the show either way but i wont be let down if thrawn indeed is not in it alot.

@supermanrex - he's the big bad who the two darksiders in the show report to. This all leaked months ago. This trailer confirmed all of that. He's in it.
supermanrex
supermanrex - 4/7/2023, 4:11 PM
@MrDandy - well i am impressed its been under top secret this long if true. hell even the three spidermen leaked but not confirmed well a year in advance. we are literally 4 months a way with no clue who plays him and how much he is in it.
ReverseFlasher

@ReverseFlasher - Yes. im just hoping its more than a few brief appearances or he doesn't even come to factor in until the third act of season. i will still enjoy the show but i want thrawn throughout from start to finish.
