Disney+ capped off Star Wars Celebration by releasing the first teaser trailer and logo for Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 2. It debuted during a panel that included supervising director and executive producer Brad Rau, Head Writer and executive producer Jennifer Corbett, and story editor Matt Michnovetz.
They were joined by actors Dee Bradley Baker, who voices all the "Bad Batch" characters, and Michelle Ang, the voice of Omega.
In season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, months have passed since the events on Kamino and the members of Clone Force 99 continue their journey navigating the Empire after the fall of the Republic. They will cross paths with friends and foes, both new and familiar, as they take on a variety of thrilling mercenary missions that will take them to unexpected and dangerous new places.
As you can see from the trailer below, they are set to encounter Ian McDiarmid's Emperor Palpatine. Seeing the villain address the Senate in the hideous form he was left in following the events of Revenge of the Sith will be something new for fans, especially as it should reveal more of how he maintained a political grip on this Galaxy Far, Far Away (while plotting as a Sith Lord, of course).
Needless to say, we're assuming this is the cameo that McDiarmid has been teasing in recent weeks.
The second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch consists of 16 episodes and is set to premiere this fall exclusively on Disney+. Check out the new trailer below!
