"We are what they grow beyond."
Following last week's much-discussed fifth episode of Ahsoka, Disney+ (via SFFGazette.com) has officially released a new batch of promo stills highlighting some of the biggest and best moments from "Shadow Warrior."
If you haven't watched the episode yet, major spoilers follow from this point on.
The images feature several shots from Ahsoka Tano's battle with her former master, Anakin Skywalker, in the mysterious void known as The World Between Worlds.
After Anakin takes Ahsoka on a trip down memory lane in an attempt to complete her training, he takes on the far more sinister visage of Darth Vader (sans the iconic armor - aside from a couple of brief shots) in order to impart his final lesson: His one-time Padawan must choose to live without feelings of anger or guilt at what happened to Skywalker if she hopes to prevent Grand Admiral Thrawn's return.
In addition, we have a terrific shot of Anakin and Ahsoka back in their Clone Wars days, and another look at "Ahsoka the White." This isn't an official moniker, and is simply a reference to Gandalf's resurrection after his battle with the Balrog in The Lord of the Rings.
We now have two episodes to go until the season finale, and tonight's instalment promises to be an eventful watch, as Ahsoka managed to convince one of the Puurgils - interdimensional space-whales - to take her and Huyang to whatever galaxy Thrawn and Ezra Bridger travelled to (they hope) in the Star Wars Rebels series finale.
Check out the stills at the links below, and let us know if you've been enjoying Ahsoka so far in the comments section.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
The series stars Rosario Dawson in the title role, with Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, with Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
Kevin Kiner was announced as the series' composer.
Ahoska is written by executive producer Dave Filoni, alongside executive producers Favreau, Kennedy, Wilson, and Beck. Gilchrist is co-executive producer. The series’ directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel and Rick Famuyiwa.
