SKELETON CREW Star Jaleel White Reveals When The STAR WARS Series Will Premiere On Disney+

Skeleton Crew has already been confirmed for a 2023 debut, but star Jaleel White has now shared a more specific release window for the highly anticipated Disney+ series starring Captain Marvel's Jude Law.

Skeleton Crew was highlighted at Star Wars Celebration last month and, in the weeks that have followed, excitement for the series has only risen. While a 2023 premiere on Disney+ was confirmed at the event, we now have a more specific release window.

Jaleel White, who plays a pirate in the upcoming series, shared that information during a recent interview. "Yeah, [Skeleton Crew's] coming out in November/December," he confirmed, "and it's part of the Star Wars universe."

With Ahsoka heading to the streaming service in August, this premiere window makes sense and likely means Skeleton Crew will be here right in time for the holidays. After all, with a tone akin to Amblin movies, we're expecting this to be fun family adventure. Well, mostly.

During a recent interview with Empire (via SFFGazette.com), star Jude Law reflected on working with his young co-stars. "I’d get all serious and they’d be looking around thinking, 'Uh-oh, is Jude in a bad mood?'" he remembers with a laugh. "But it was setting the tone: 'This is really serious. We’re at risk.' Of course, what’s wonderful about children is they believe."

"They need guidance, but they’re vulnerable," the actor says of his character's "complicated" relationship with the kids. "And so throughout, the people they meet, you question all of them. Is my character nice? Is he not? You just want them to be alright and get back home."

Skeleton Crew follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home—and meeting unlikely allies and enemies—will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined."

Jude Law leads the series and is joined by young actors Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong. Tunde Adebimpe and Kerry Condon also star, while the directing team consists of Jon Watts, Christopher Ford, David Lowery, the Daniels, Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung.

Wow, lot of hate for a guy who got stuck playing an annoying character. He’s an ACTOR, folks.

I have a lot of respect for casting directors who can see past actors’ most well-known roles and pluck them out of the no-man’-land of the D-list.

@NoAssemblyReqd - Indeed. It's a rare condition in this day and age.

Many actors audition for dozens, if not hundreds of roles, never knowing which ones they’ll win. Of the ones they do win, they have NO IDEA if they’ll make an impression, for better or for worse. By the time the movie or show is released, most have (hopefully) already moved on to their next gig to pay the bills. It’s the actors’ dream and nightmare to get a long running gig.

Certainly Mark Hamill didn’t become an actor thinking he’d become best known as Luke Skywalker.

It'd be funny if he said, "this is modern star wars. It's gonna stay in perpetual development forever"
