"A war left unfinished... until now."

It was announced during last year's SDCC 10th Anniversary panel for The Clone Wars that the much-loved animated series would return for a seventh season, and the full trailer has now been officially released online.

The footage gives us a much better idea of what to expect from this final batch of episodes, and features returning characters such a pre-dark side Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, Captain Rex, Yoda, and more. We also get a brief glimpse of what is certain to be a fierce battle between Ahsoka Tano and Darth Maul.

The Clone Wars finished up back in 2014 and while it did end on a satisfactory note for many fans, it was clear that there were still plenty of stories left to tell. Now, we get to see them!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be returning with 12 all-new episodes on the Disney+ streaming service on February 21. Check out the new trailer and a poster below, and let us know what you think.

This is exactly what SW needs right now. Shame that there's no more being made

I prefer Ahsoka having green sabers though. Too much blue on that poster lol

@EmpressCipher - Nah I remember in the Ahsoka novel is says she buried her old sabers in the final battle of the Clone Wars. So she gets the white ones after the series ends.

@EmpressCipher - No, they won't ignore that. It's in the novel because it was in the original script for the Clone Wars finale in 2014. I think we'll see her bury them in these episodes.

Disney is making a mistake by marketing this as the final season. If you ask me, they can keep making The Clone Wars forever and I wouldn't mind at all

@EmpressCipher - The show first seasons weren't in chronological order, so I don't mind if they just move further back in the timeline again

Well that just utterly destroyed the sequel trilogy. I've been saying it for years...Clone Wars is the best Star Wars product since Return of the Jedi. I'd take more seasons of this and Rebels over any movies.

I'm confused. Is this supposed to lead directly into Revenge of the Sith, or are parts of it going to overlap. That shot of Anakin and a pregnant Padmé seems pretty certain of that.
Armageddon26

@MasterMix - Definitely overlap. I’m pretty sure Windu says “I sense a plot to destroy the Jedi” in RotS and we see that in the trailer

@MasterMix - If they follow the original plan, it will also overlap (the scene where Ahsoka and Maul confront should be during Order 66). This comes from the Ahsoka novel, that takes flashbacks from scrapped TCW scripts, that now are coming to life. So, probably, we'll see Order 66 from the point of view of Ahsoka and Maul on Mandalore
