Though the title character showing up in a couple of episodes of The Mandalorian gave fans a pretty good idea about when Ahsoka takes place in the Star Wars timeline, we weren't sure exactly when the fan-favorite force-wielder's solo adventure was set... until now.

During a new interview with SFX Magazine (via Games Radar), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Sabine Wren) revealed that the events of Ahsoka play out concurrently with the recent third season of The Mandalorian.

"I think it's hard not to feel part of something bigger," she tells the site when asked about her future in the Galaxy Far, Far Away. "Ahsoka runs along the same timeline as The Mandalorian season 3, and the shows are all connected. There's just so many parallels."

Speaking of being part of something bigger, we know that the Star Wars movie Ahsoka showrunner Dave Filoni is currently developing at Lucasfilm will serve as a culmination of sorts for the Disney+ shows, so will we see Bordizzo back as the graffiti-loving Mando warrior on the big screen?

"When I heard they were doing the movie, at Celebration in London [in April], I was like, 'Maybe one day I'll find out whether I'm a part of that!'" she laughs. "This is one of those times when I can so happily tell you I have no idea what's going on with that. I'm happy not to, because that way I don't have to lie to you!"

The untitled film is still in the very early stages of development, so there's a chance Bordizzo really hasn't been told anything about it... though we'd be very surprised if Ahsoka and the Ghost crew didn't put in an appearance alongside Din Djarin, Grogu and whichever other characters assemble for what sounds like a very ambitious project.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

The series stars Rosario Dawson in the title role, with Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, with Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

Kevin Kiner was announced as the series' composer.

Ahoska is written by executive producer Dave Filoni, alongside executive producers Favreau, Kennedy, Wilson, and Beck. Gilchrist is co-executive producer. The series’ directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel and Rick Famuyiwa.
