THE MANDALORIAN Concept Art And Spoiler Stills From "The Spies" Focus On Mandalore And Moff Gideon

In yesterday's episode of The Mandalorian, Bo-Katan Kryze led a group of her fellow helmeted warriors to Mandalore in an effort to find the planet's forge and bring more of their people home.

Moff Gideon, however, has other ideas and plans to once again lay waste to the planet and its people, reshaping their home in his own twisted image. One fan-favourite character has fallen, while Din Djarin has been captured by the Imperial and may not live to fight another day if Gideon has anything to say about it.

For fans disappointed with The Mandalorian's current third season, "The Spies" was a return to form for the Disney+ series and next week's finale promises to be nothing short of epic.

We're a little concerned about social media chatter that the episode will only be around 20 minutes long but, with any luck, there's nothing to it. After all, there's a lot of story left to tell heading into this finale and Jon Favreau surely has something bigger planned when it comes to wrapping up this surprisingly divisive third season.

We now have some new concept art and spoiler stills from the episode (via SFFGazette.com), showcasing a number of key moments and characters.

Gideon has a large presence, as do both his and Bo-Katan's respective armies. There are also a couple of terrific shots of Grogu piloting "IG-12," The Child's new means of transportation while accompanying his fellow Mandalorians into battle.

The stills don't reveal much, though we'd expect more to be shared by Disney and Lucasfilm a couple of days from now.

Am I the only one experiencing this:

Picard Season 3 continues to impress while I couldn't get past the first 15 minutes of Episode One of this [frick]ing letdown.

Talk about two polar opposite arcs - Picard was totally [frick]ed and is currently proving redemption is possible.

The Mandalorian Season One was nearly flawless and it has headed into the ditch steadily ever since.

@Batmangina - you are basing your entire opinion of a 8+ hour season on fifteen minutes? Lol

@MrDandy - Yes. The giant alligator scene and Mando Kidz r Us in helmets looked silly AF and made them look weak and stupid - far from the original badassery of Boba Fett and Mando Season One.

I'll probably binge it when it's over just for the sake of being a SW nerd but Picard S3 is the first genre show in a long time that actually engenders the 'Oh shit, it's over' - cliffhanger vibes.

I'm not seeing that in the coverage of Mandalorian - plus, the idea of The Mandalorian ISN'T The Mandalorian in the title is also dumb.

Seems like they drove off the map.
