Yesterday's episode of The Mandalorian left us with plenty to discuss, and we cannot wait to see where the story goes next. You can learn more about that big cliffhanger by clicking here, but in the meantime, a full gallery of concept art has been released (via SFFGazette.com) from "The Mines of Mandalore" alongside a handful of stills from the episode.
Grogu gets his fair share of the spotlight, which is no great shock when he really stepped up here and took a proactive role in rescuing Din Djarin from whatever that creature was in the depths of Mandalore.
Earlier this month, executive producer Dave Filoni spoke with ET Online about season 3 and was asked if we might soon hear Grogu talk. "It's a good question. I mean, I would suppose fairly young. We don't know that he's not talking in his own way, and, obviously, he can communicate with Ahsoka where she can at least divine from him some type of communication."
"What would his first word be? We'll see, I don't know."
Filoni later dismissed the notion that Grogu will sound like Yoda and has previously explained that the Jedi Master based his speech patterns on his own Master (which is why Yaddle didn't sound the same).
While The Mandalorian is currently focused on Mandalore, we anticipate learning more about Grogu in the coming weeks. A flashback to that fateful night in the Jedi Temple was teased in the trailers, while we know cloner Dr. Pershing will also return after previously studying Grogu's blood at the behest of Moff Gideon.
That more than likely has something to do with Emperor Palpatine's attempt to rise from the dead in a cloned body, hence why we previously heard about The Child's "M-Count."
We'll see what happens, but you can check out the concept art and stills below.
