In Andor's season finale, Cassian's mother, Maarva, declared "F*** the Empire!" in a rousing speech meant to inspire a Rebellion on Ferrix. However, what we heard was "Fight the Empire!" and it's since been confirmed that Lucasfilm made the change during post-production.
It's understandable as Star Wars is meant to be for all ages (as if Disney+ in the U.S.), but did The Mandalorian just throw a sneaky F-Bomb into season 3's penultimate episode?
Believe it or not, many fans are convinced that's exactly what has happened.
In a clip doing the rounds online (via SFFGazette.com), it sounds an awful lot like the Anzellan droidsmith says, "I'm out, motherf***er!" while running from Grogu's clutches. We've checked out the episode again on Disney+ and the sound here hasn't been altered, so this really can be heard in "The Spies."
The question is, is this Anzellan - who, according to the episode's subtitles is speaking his native language - actually swearing or it is a trick of the ear? Honestly, it's hard to answer that definitively either way, but it's certainly possible this F-Bomb managed to slip through the cracks and was thrown in there as a cheeky joke.
Whatever the case may be, it's something Star Wars fans are going crazy about on social media and we can't help but laugh thinking that one of these Anzellans may have dropped the franchise's first major swear in response to the always adorable Grogu.
