THE MANDALORIAN: Here's a First Look At [SPOILER] In Today's Mind-Blowing Season Finale

We're still reeling from today's episode of The Mandalorian, and while we'll be taking a deep dive into the episode soon, we thought you might like to check out this first look at [SPOILER] while you wait!

Wow. Just wow.

Those of you disappointed by Luke Skywalker's portrayal in Star Wars: The Last Jedi were probably feeling much happier about the Jedi Knight after watching today's season two finale of The Mandalorian. Returning to our screens after Grogu reached out to him through the Force in "The Tragedy," he made short work of Moff Gideon's Dark Trooper's in a scene reminiscent of the Darth Vader attack in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

We'll get into more details later, but Grogu left with Luke, and...well, we're hoping and praying The Child wasn't among those killed when Ben Solo turned to the Dark Side and became Kylo Ren.

There's clearly plans in place here, but we'll have to wait and see what they end up being.

The visual effects used to de-age Mark Hamill are likely to draw something of a mixed response (it was a little better than what we saw in Rogue One), but regardless, it was downright incredible to see him back in action. This is a moment fans are likely going to be talking about for a long time to come, and if nothing else, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni just redeemed the post-Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker in a major, insanely cool way.

Take a look at some screenshots from this episode of The Mandalorian below:

Lets just do what we all want, and act like the Kennedy trilogy didn't happen and assume Luke and Grogu will be just fine.'

@dracula - It's Star Wars. They shouldn't be "fine". They should be in constant peril.

@Spock0Clock - okay lets just assume Luke didnt act like an idiot, leading to the second fall of the jedi order.

That cgi was rough. It’s weird how marvel gets it perfect but Star Wars struggles with it yet their both Disney. I would rather have seen a new actor like Sebastian Stan. Only so that we can see other characters played by new actors just how they did with solo.

@micvalpro - IMO... Marvel's de-aging effects are overrated. Civil War's BARF scene with Downey, and whenever they de-age Michael Douglas... it always looked obvious to me. They did great with Fury in Captain Marvel though, and I think they can improve.

Star Wars on the other hand-- they gotta stop at this point lol.
