THE MANDALORIAN Season 3 Premiere Date Seemingly Revealed Along With Details On Next Trailer Release

There's a huge amount of excitement surrounding The Mandalorian's upcoming third season, no real surprise when it remains among the most popular (and we'd argue the best) Star Wars anything from Lucasfilm in this Disney-era.

It's already been confirmed that the series will return to Disney+ next February, but Making Star Wars (via SFFGazette.com) is now reporting that it will likely premiere on February 22, 2023. That should come around fast, and the site drops a small scoop by teasing that "Grogu will get a really cool new feature" when The Mandalorian returns. What that will be remains to be seen.

They're also reporting that Lucasfilm will drop a trailer for The Mandalorian on Christmas Day. Given the wording in their report, it sounds like this will be the final sneak peek at the series after the first dropped during this year's D23 event in Anaheim.

That will serve as a nice Holiday treat, anyway, and The Mandalorian will follow movies like Deadpool and Alien Covenant by dropping a Christmas Day sneak peek.

The site goes on to note that the trailer is under two minutes and introduces us to Christopher Lloyd's "Mando-clan-leader." It's said that, while the preview makes us think Din Djarin and Bo-Katan Kryze will be at odds, that's unlikely to be the case in the show itself.

It won't be too long until we find out whether this report is legitimate, as it's added that we're getting a poster on or around December 14.

We certainly hope the marketing campaign for The Mandalorian season 3 will start picking up steam soon, though Lucasfilm no doubt wants to keep the focus on Andor for the time being. The finale drops on November 23, so these timings all make sense. As per usual, though, it's best to take this all with a pinch of salt until Disney officially comments.

February seems good if Andor is ending later this month. I'm loving Andor!

Good. I need another season of one of my shows now that Los Espookys season 2 ended and Rick and Morty season 6 is on a hiatus.

Well gotta keep the shows coming or else people are just going to cancel. Subscription services are getting expensive. Already paying for internet, cellphones, game subs, and now each individual app separately too.

Guess we just can't have'em all...legally lol

Yeah until Filoni drops his Ahsoka series. :3

This would be a huge missed opportunity IMO. Setting up the conflict in the first third of the season, it coming to a head in the second, and them putting their differences aside to defeat a common enemy would be a perfect (if kind of cheap) structure for the season.

I still hate the fact that the gave us this amazing finale to season 2 with Luke taking away Grogu.

Only to have that emotional moment nullified quite unceremoniously a few episodes into Boba Fett.

Season 3 should have been without Grogu and Mando having to deal with his issues and conflict with Bo Katan by himself.
Grogu returning should have been saved until the end of Season 3.

@TyrantBossMedia - "Grogu returning should have been saved until the end of Season 3."

But then how does Mickey Mouse make money without that "baby Yoda" merchandise?
