THE MANDALORIAN Season 3 Release Date Seemingly Confirmed By New Disney+ Promo

Yesterday, it was confirmed that we'll have to wait until next year for WandaVision to arrive on Disney+, but it doesn't appear as if there's going to be any delays with season three of The Mandalorian...

We're only a few episodes into The Mandalorian's second season, but a third batch has already been confirmed. Recently, executive producer Jon Favreau explained that it shouldn't be too hard shooting the series when the lead character wears a mask and the show is not shot on location.

With cameras expected to begin rolling in the coming weeks (and January by the latest), it now appears we have confirmation season three will debut on Disney+ in 2021.

This was to be expected, but a promo shared on the Slovak Disney+ YouTube channel highlights the fact that all three seasons of The Mandalorian will be available to stream next year. It's definitely a relief to learn that we won't have to endure a year with zero Star Wars content, especially as the pandemic means we haven't seen so much as a single Marvel Studios movie or TV show in 2020.

The vast majority of Disney's productions have resumed work in recent weeks, and that's important for them, especially when their theme parks are haemorrhaging money (it was confirmed this week that the company made a loss for the first time in forty years). Having new content for that all-important streaming service is a must.

*Looks around*

That's....why we are here.

J8 can say whatever he wants, but this business model of dropping one show at a time f*ckin sucks, The Mandalorian is literally all i look forward to, so yeah...we'll get S3 alright and then some :3

@Doomsday8888 - Is that the intentional business model, or is it just that the total lack of new content forces it to be that way? Honest question.

At this point

i'm afraid.

Things are bound to change, obviously, just think about the MCU shows.
But, you know, this IS how they kept going for quite a while.

It makes sense considering season 1 and 2 both released in Q4 too, but I do not take this as confirmation. Multiple other spots also ''confirmed'' that WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier would drop in 2020

To all my fellow techies here - does anyone know what’s the software , engine used in the Mandalorian ? I’m an audio engineer but Covid took my industry and me almost out the game so I need to learn new force powers to get down with Lucasfilm - any info , suggestions/ advice ? Thanks much

Since the review for today's Mandalorian episode has been burried under an excess of articles, since its posted like first thing in the morning for whatever reason, I'm just going to leave my thoughts here.

This was a FANTASTIC episode, not only the best of the season so far (and I really liked the first epic episode) but probably the 2nd best episode of the series (I think episode 3 from season 1 still takes the crown). While I enjoyed last week's episode, and it was a solid well done episode, it was pretty much filler. This episode fixed that and really pushed the show forward in major ways.

First, Bryce Dallas Howard did an excellent job (much better than the somewhat average episode she directed last season). The action was top notch, excellent visuals, thrilling moments and great debuts of the Nite Owls in the show. Looking forward to seeing them again. So many easter eggs and references, really was a blast from start to finish. Katee Sackhoff did a great job especially as Bo-Katan. Also, loved all the Agents of SHIELD stars! Looking forward to the arrival of Ahsoka Tano.

@HeavyMetal4Life - So far we've seen Agent May, Blake and Sunil Bakshi. Here's hoping for more of the Agent-gang to show up.

Imagine Patton Oswalt in the Star Wars universe.

@SpaceAgent - the two Empire members flying the ship, which Welliver's character killed, were also supposedly from SHIELD. The guy on the right looked familiar but I was having difficulty exactly placing him.
