THE MANDALORIAN Star Pedro Pascal Shares Hopes To End The Disney+ Series With A Movie

The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal has shared his hopes for the series to one day conclude with a movie, but what does executive producer Rick Famuyiwa think about that? Find more details after the jump...

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni's endgame for The Mandalorian remains a mystery, but the show's success has seen this post-Return of the Jedi era of storytelling rapidly expand. Skeleton Crew will be part of that, as will Ahsoka; meanwhile, other shows - such as The Book of Boba Fett - have reunited us with some familiar faces and expanded on that period.

It's an exciting time to be a Star Wars fan, but when the time comes for The Mandalorian to end, what will that look like? We've frequently heard about possible movie plans, and star Pedro Pascal doubled down on that during a recent interview at D23 (via SFFGazette.com).

Executive producer Rick Famuyiwa was also on hand, and he started by denying having any knowledge of big screen plans for The Mandalorian"You're coming at us hard. Yeah, that's something I don't know anything about." Pascal then chimed in to say, "I'll answer for him. Yes, he wants to."

"Yes, he wants to, and that's a great idea," the actor continued, "and if it isn't a conversation already, then it will be after today."

Pascal previously said a movie was "inevitable," and we have a feeling this will probably happen. It might be released on Disney+ rather than in theaters, though we have to believe moviegoers would be more than happy parting with their money to watch a story about Din Djarin and Grogu on the big screen.

Those involved with The Mandalorian seem keen, anyway, though we do hope there aren't plans to wrap this series up quite yet. There's still lots of storytelling potential in this corner of the Galaxy Far, Far Away, and with the worst of the pandemic behind us, we're hoping the show can get back to a yearly release schedule for the show.

I'd be down for that. Haven't really enjoyed a SW flick since Rogue One, but this character and his supporting cast would make for a pretty entertaining movie imo.

I would already know that the ending of this potential movie would be heart breaking. Din Jarin would most likely go out dying for Grogu.

a Mandalorian movie would be fantastic. Let's get Star Wars back in theaters. Used to be an event

If it becomes a movie, watch Pedro go 80% of the movie without his mask by that point.

This is, of course, the way.

Best thing to come from Disney plus abs better than the past two TRILOGIES

A movie would be a cool endgame to all of Favreau & Filoni's tv shows.

Din and the Mandalorians, Ahsoka, Boba Fett, Luke, maybe even Skeleton Crew, and Rangers (make it a Hera show already!) going up against Thrawn would be great.

I would've paid to see The Rescue on the big screen, and I would again if Thrawn's endgame is a show and the movie is just the last two episodes cut together.
