THE MANDALORIAN's Rosario Dawson Remains Hopeful For Return To STAR WARS Universe As Ahsoka Tano

Rosario Dawson is being praised for her live-action take on Ahsoka Tano, and it's clear that after "The Jedi" episode of The Mandalorian that fans want to see more of the character. We're not sure exactly when that might happen (it could be in Leslye Headland's female-led show or a future season of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni's series), but the actress remains open and excited about the idea.

In an interview with StarWars.com, Dawson expressed a desire to reprise the role down the line.

"I mean, I would love that opportunity," she admitted. "I think it's so cool that this show exists. I think it's so cool that I got to show up and give information about this character, the Child, that everyone's loved so much. You know, that she was not so much showing up as a cameo, but really being a storytelling device for new fans that have fallen in love with yet another new character that we're getting to see grow. Little Grogu is just amazing."

Even if it wasn't already planned, it seems inevitable that Ahsoka will return to The Mandalorian at some point. Recently, Filoni indicated that this take on Ahsoka could be an earlier version of the character than the hooded warrior who summoned Sabine Wren in the final few minutes of Disney XD's Star Wars Rebels.

With that in mind, there are plenty of gaps in Tano's history to flesh out.

I love that every character is used as a device to further the story.

It really stays loyal to Favreau’s plan of making this a space western show, reminds me of all the great western tv shows my Gramps used to watch. Each episode is a new character the hero has to straggle with for information, by helping them out in return.

I also give Filoni mad respect for keeping his own baby respectful in that same role, she could’ve been like the bad ass that saves the day and the episode totally about her, but he treated her the exact same way as every other key character that’s had to point Mando on his way, showed real maturity for Filoni. You can tell he’s growing as a director - working with Fav’s.

Surely she has a spot for an episode in Season 3, from there the possible spin-off for her could finally come together.

You have to believe, especially after the reception of her episode, that it is virtually a done deal that she will make a return.

Question: Are Asokah's lightsabers supposed to be silent? It just felt off how they weren't making those classic heavy 'vroom' sounds.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - yea I thought they should've been louder.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - They definitely wanted her to be stealthy and ghost-like in the opening sequence. They also seemed to activate and deactivate kind of slow. Maybe it's a special Ahsoka thing, or maybe the Mandalorian's design aesthetic for lightsabers is a little different.

I like the heavy vrooming and more explosive activation. And the blades felt a little thick, too. Hopefully we'll get more lightsabers to compare in future episodes.

As long as Ashley still voices her in animated projects, then yeah bring Roseario back for live action stuff

I've lost track of the rumored Star Wars projects, but wasn't Ahsoka heavily speculated to be getting her own show? Anyone remember the most recent and best reporting on Star Wars+?

Let’s be real: there’s no way in hell she doesn’t return in either The Mandolorian or her own show

Other than her massive reception, the amount of Ahsoka merchandise blew up this Thanksgiving weekend. Of course she'll be back.

Is she serious??? Her own spinoff show will probably get announced soon.😂 I've never seen so many CBM articles dedicated to one character on this website before. Not Batman, nor Spider-Man.
