STAR WARS: TALES OF THE JEDI Announced For Disney+ With Liam Neeson Returning To Voice Qui-Gon Jinn

Learn the origins of Ahsoka and experience the adventures of Count Dooku as a Jedi in Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, an original animated anthology series coming to Disney+ this Fall.

There were rumors that a new animated Star Wars series would be announced at Star Wars Celebration, and it turned out to be true. Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, which was leaked ahead of the convention via the paneling schedule, was revealed to be coming to Disney+ later this year.

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is an original animated anthology series set during the prequel era of the Star Wars universe. The series will consist of six animated shorts, each story featuring Jedi from the prequel era.

Three of the episodes will focus on the life of Ahsoka, from her early childhood days to her time spent with Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars to her face off with an Inquisitor after Order 66. The other three episodes will focus on Count Dooku during his life as a Jedi before turning to the dark side.

The episodes will feature various fan-favorite prequel characters including Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu. But perhaps nothing is as exciting as Liam Neeson returning to voice Qui-Gon Jinn. During the series, we'll also see a younger version of the Jedi Master, who will be voiced by Neeson's son, Michael.

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi will premiere this Fall on Disney+. The great Dave Filoni is on board as writer and executive producer for the series.
