I've never read this, but I'm a big fan of Neil Gaiman's work. Congrats to him.

Cool. Sounds like an interesting premise ... even if Neil Gaiman is a poor man's Paul Levitz :)

LMAO I just like telling you he's better than Chris Claremont! I've never met him, but I went on a LSH binge a while ago and it stuck with me. How he handled a roster of 25 superheroes plus supporting characters and villains was masterful.

Do you think you could sneak into the Scientology center near you and take some pics for us? Don't be a pussy about it.

Bryan Fuller is involved? And it's an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's work?! This is a must watch for me.

I just finished reading this about a month ago. I stole it from work. I pictured it working as a movie, with a hell of a lot of distilling but didn't really consider it as a show. I guess coz Shadow's character arc moves so slowly...

Anthony Hopkins would be a good nod for Wednesday but I reckon Alan Arkin would nail the old bugger.

@b&y @deschain99
It's worth it. It took a long while for me to really get what it was getting at, and then it turns out its actually a pretty simple and really satisfying story. I liked it.

@nomis - bullshit!! Pics or it didn't happen!

I pictured Jason Mamoa as Shadow and @case, I too pictured Anthony Hopkins, but, since he's already played that character in another movie (didn't want to say who Wednesday REALLY is for those who haven't read it)Brian Cox is the other actor I came up with for that role.

This is one of my favorite books. Bryan Fuller is a great showrunner and he will do this justice.
Talontd
Talontd - 6/16/2015, 4:17 PM
From Bryan Fuller himself:

"In our conversations about who our ideals are for specific roles, Shadow is described as… is he a gypsy? Is he Hispanic? Is he black? Or is he all of those things in one? So we know that he is not white! I think if we cast a white man to play Shadow we would be the biggest assholes on television."

Shadow should not, and will not be white. The best people I can think of are all movie actors...
