DEADPOOL Creator Rob Liefeld Empathises With Fans Disappointed By The First VENOM Trailer

The reaction to the Venom teaser trailer hasn't been good and you have to believe Sony is regretting its decision to debut the sneak peek so early! Hit the jump to find out why Rob Liefeld wasn't a fan...

The first trailer for Venom was met with a mostly negative response when it was released yesterday and it's easy enough to see why. While it is just a teaser, it did nothing to win over fans worrying that Sony can't handle the world of Spider-Man without the help of Marvel Studios (just look at The Amazing Spider-Man movies) and with no sign of Venom, it's clear Sony rushed the footage out.

That's probably because they wanted it to play with Black Panther and there's now even more negativity surrounding Venom than before the footage debuted online (which really isn't a good start).

Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld took to Twitter yesterday to tear into the teaser and he wasn't alone! Below, you'll find a sampling of Tweets from Liefeld, journalists, fans, and more and they make for pretty amusing reading ("maybe there’s a big audience for Tom Hardy in a CT scanner," muses one person). So, click either one of the buttons below to check the list out and stay tuned for updates.

It's true...I showed my wife the trailer without telling her what trailer it was, making her guess. First thing she said was "is that a new Jason Bourne movie" i was craking up.
