Sony has debuted another TV spot for Venom, and while most of the footage has been carried over from previous trailers and promos, there is some cool new stuff in there.

The most notable new shots come in around the 0:18 mark, as we see Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) now fully joined with the ferocious symbiote, stalking his prey across the roofs of some cars.

It's brief, but it does give us a much better idea of how large the creature can grow if needs arise.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Venom also stars Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, Riz Ahmed and Woody Harrelson. The unofficial Spidey spinoff is set to hit theaters on October 5, 2018.

That part with Venom leaping from one car to the next was great. I bet it is after he eats (?) that goon from the end of the 2nd trailer, the chase must continue but now as Venom and without the motorcycle.

Can't wait.

It's been a very long time since I was not excited for a CBM AND a Tom Hardy film.

With the latter not happening to my recollection.

It's just weird to see a Venom movie. I loved him the moment he appeared in the comics but his own movie is.......weird. I'll probably go see it. On the fence with this one.

I say this with the best intention, but the trailers show off a truly bad performance from Tom Hardy in the film. I've yet to see the finished product, but from what we've seen of his performance, I'm both amused in the worst way possible, but also confused as to how it got to this. He can't even form coherent words half the time, but it probably also doesn't help that he's given very awkward dialogue to work with.

I want this to be good for the sake of the culture but, it's doesn't look it unfortunately.

The weird accent, the acting, the fx, the action and the whole premise just seems off and unnecessary.

Only 2 reasons to see this for me:

1. I want to see if Woody Harrelson is indeed playing Cletus Kasady
2. I want to see if that rumored Tom Holland cameo is true.

@LORDbuckethead - From what I've seen thus far, my 2 reasons for seeing it will be:

1. It's on TV
2. WTF else have I got to do?

Hope this dies so fast it'll make Sony's head spin.
In Walmart's $5 dvd bin by New Years.
Blame this on today's comics inbreeders for the sci-fi half-assed character, not the movie studio.

I'm still betting money that the scene in the store at the end is the final scene in the film.

Oh, and this trailers has added nothing and hasn't convinced me in the slightest to see this.

@MrDandy - I agree. I also find it odd that Hardy's face looks really CGI'd in that shot. I would have thought they could film the real Hardy and add the FX.
