After years of fans wanting to see both studios play nice, 20th Century Fox and Marvel have finally come to an agreement...on a new mobile game. Aftershock Studios, who is owned by FoxNext a subsidiary of 20th Century Fox, is currently handling the development of the game that is being described as an action-RPG.

“Aftershock is creating something special and we are thrilled to finally announce this news,” said Jay Ong, Marvel's Senior VP of Games and Innovation in a statement obtained by Newsarama. “The game will be the full package: an exciting storyline, epic moments with Marvel super heroes and super villains, and incredible visuals that truly bring our characters to life. It’s shaping up to be one of our biggest and boldest projects in our mobile portfolio, and we know it will exceed our fans’ expectations.”

“The Aftershock Los Angeles team, led by Amir Rahimi, is developing an explosive action mobile game set in the Marvel Universe that will feature an innovative game design with stunning graphics," said Aaron Loeb, FoxNext Games' President of Studios.  “To team up with Marvel on our first game at FoxNext Games is a dream partnership."

There is no release date for the game at this time.

@ODanil - For what system? It's $19.95 on Steam. There is a copy for under $7 on eBay right now for the 360, and one for the PS2 for under $15. I don't think those prices are outrageous. Well, unless you live somewhere where kidneys are, like, $2.50 a piece...

@ODanil - save your money dude. 2 is a serious downgrade from one. Maybe better graphics but less powers, costumes and probably characters too. The story is also garbage.

Give me an Arkham style Captain America game with DLC of other Avengers please

@JustUsLeague - Have you ever tried Captain America Super Soldier? It's almost that. I loved that game even though I know it wasn't perfect, could have more scenery interactions and some more smart, necessary backtracking. Solid fun IMO.

Here's some gameplay:

@Fogs - They should try to do something similar of this but with the whole MCU saga. Would be fun.

@Fogs - I've heard mixed things about it but for the most part it does seem awesome for what it is. Was it an open world?

I loved that game.

Also some people would realize where most of the Prototype gameplay came from.

Again with these motherfudging mobile shit-games.

Then again, mobile shit-games make easy money.

Well in that case......

If the mobile platform helps pay for all the Spider-Man PS4's of the world, then I'll gladly say long live touch-screens and pay-to-win mechanics, and stupid shoehorned Gwenpool appearances.

Yeah hate to pile on but i'm not big on mobile games either.

Anybody been playing Marvel Heroes Omega? Love that shit.

@TheManWithoutFear - On console or PC? I'm playing it on Xbox. Finished grinding everything for Blade today, started Angela. My Scarlet Witch is only missing Hand of Doom.

@Asturgis - I play it on PS4. I didn't understand a lot of what you just said, but i'm playing through with Ghost Rider and i'm loving it.

Asturgis - 7/28/2017, 2:22 PM
@TheManWithoutFear - Oh, it's too bad, [frick] Sony for refusing cross-play with Microsoft, seriously, we should all be able to play with our friends regardless of their platform :( Ghost Rider is a good character, strong across the board, that's a good choice.

If you have the time to work on others, I recommend the 3 "broken" characters, Scarlet Witch, the farming tool that can one-shot anything on screen except a boss, Blade, the only one who can one-shot a boss, and Angela, who can make bosses kill each other to speed farm Midtown patrol. Those 3 will allow you to do any kind of content and farm resources for your other characters. Other really, really good characters without being broken are Iceman, Kitty Pride, Storm, Rocket Raccoon, Hulk, She-Hulk, or Thor.

Don't hesitate to shoot me a msg if you need any info :)
