The announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was a highlight at Playstation Experience this weekend, teasing some brand new roster additions with the inclusion of Captain Marvel. Now, a brand new gameplay trailer has dropped which features the return of series mainstay Captain America, and Morrigan, who first appeared in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

The footage also confirms that Marvel's all-powerful Infinity Gems will play a role in the game, with characters being able to activate their powers for special abilites. In the trailer, we see Ryu use the Power gem to activate a strength boost, and Captain Marvel using the Time gem to dodge attacks with ease. Could we be seeing Thanos make his way on to the roster? It certainly seems likely.

Check the trailer out below!

@ALostCause - because some people don´t have friends anymore that they can share something live, so they need to see the reaction of strangers

I could never get into fighting games with superheroes. I had heard Injustice had a good story, but it didn't hold my interest. Basically it's all just APM muscle-memory skill nonsense reskinned with characters that shouldn't be even slightly evenly matched.

@Spock0Clock - thats the fun of it, some characters are better than others and there may be a power balance issue, but thats what makes them fun to play. Once you master a character's moves, nothing is more satisfying than winning then.
(i put in hours in Injustice and MvC2)

@DjTheMarvelKid - the overall story mode wasnt hard at all but was well done. Watch all the cut scenes on youtube, makes for a good viewing as a mini film.
Mastering combos and wall bounces with Aquaman's trident was half the fun!

Give me a nice over-the-shoulder third-person open world game with an interactable and explorable environment and I'm in heaven, though. Here's hoping the Spider-Man game lives up to it.

I hope Xmen are in this. If not, i'm not gonna bother getting it.

My 3 team would consist of Cable, Ryu or War Machine and Wolverine.
Projectile mode all the time!

I read that Capcom and Marvel are focusing on the MCU characters in this. So maybe no X-Men or F4 folks this time...

@KingEmperor - FFS. Whats going on with the films should not influence Marvel at its grass roots be in comics or games.

MvC is what got me into the wider Marvel Universe outside of Spidey and Xmen.

Thats not a wise move from Marvel and Capcom to be honest, a lot of fans will not buy it.
