Wait so if i get this on the PC, is this actually something i can BUY or do i have to continually pay for it like World of Warcraft. I've never owned nor played World of Warcraft but my friends have told me you never really 'own' it so i'm wondering if the PC version of DCU Online is the same way?

Signed up yesterday myself, looks like an amazing game!

@airbeyonder18 - Beta testing is a transition most MMORPG's go through before they hit the market in order to have a large community of players weed out most of the in game bugs so the game is better polished for release.

I haven't heard anything yet on fees for PS3... I would *assume* there aren't any fees with the PS3 to play online, unless they link it with their recently announced "Premium" service...

Launch date for PS3 and PC are the same, and I did see that there's a "DC Universe Online 'Hero' Edition" for the PS3 on Amazon.com, but no details or information on anything special that's included with it...

i wouldnt want to pay $60 for the game then to pay $15 dollars a month. it seems like a waste. Plus i heard that we have the option to buy items in the game but we would have to pay using our real money.

@Suffertree: THANK YOU for telling it like it is. If PC users must pay the damn [frick]en fee, then so should PS3 users, otherwise it wouldn't be fair. I'm sick of the PS3 people constantly saying "we're already paying 60 bucks, let us have it for free!!" everyone must pay...no one is special in this.

I hope this turns out good as it would be nice to actually get to use REAL super powers in a game for change, I mean, that X-Men Legends and Marvel Alliance games were pretty good, but all the characters had basically the same powers with few things different between them.

we better get a collectors for this game as well, and by we i mean ps3 owners.

I'm not expecting much from an MMO that's been geared for console gamers instead of PC only like everything else out there. That said, I applied for the Beta, if only to see how it stacks up. For starters I'm curious how they'll get around the lack of a keyboard for communication since not every PC gamer uses or even wants to use voice chat software.

The 360 couldnt handel it, and if it was put on the xbox it would have crazy long load times and screens.
