Kano is the leader of the Black Dragon criminal empire. Making his first chronological appearance in Mortal Kombat: Special Forces, he freed fellow Black Dragon cohorts No Face, Tasia, Jarek and Tremor from a U.S. Special Forces security facility, under the pretense that they would reform the Black Dragon organization.

@earzmundo: For the umpteenth time....THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH REBIRTH besides some of the actors and the directing style but not the storyline.

It definitely says something about Goddard that despite his thin acting career, he left a permanent mark on the MK world, ever since his portrayal, Kano is now expected in every medium to be Australian and sport a beard and a flat-top, as opposed to his early Videogame incarnation which was completely bald and had no indication of Australian roots.
