Spike TV's eighth annual "Video Game Awards" was a night to remember, as industry giants gathered to celebrate the outstanding artistic and technical achievements in the world of gaming over the past year. Hosted by acclaimed television, film, stage and video game star Neil Patrick Harris, the two-hour event also provided a glimpse of the future of gaming – including exclusive sneak peeks and world premiere footage of some of the hottest and most anticipated games of 2011 and beyond with world premiere footage from thirteen highly anticipated releases.

What do you think about these results? Personally, I've found it to be a pretty underwhelming year in terms of games, but I agree with the majority of winners above. (Neil Patrick Harris winning an award for his portrayal of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in particular) However, I'm sure that you guys have plenty of your own ideas for who should have picked up a prize so be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!
