(Neil Patrick Harris winning an award for his portrayal of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in particular) However, I'm sure that you guys have plenty of your own ideas for who should have picked up a prize so be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

And in case you missed them, here are some of the trailers for the big name games that were revealed at the event:

OMG... Kratos in a MK game??? LMAO.... after Kratos killed just about every god in GoW, he just HAD to go to Outland and kill everybody there too.

"Kratos wins! ...Kratos. Kratos, you can stop hitting him now. ...STOP! HE'S ALREADY DEAAAAD!"

*SHNK* *GRAB* *CHOP* Kratos then grunts and walks away on a trail of blood not his own...

Felicia Day tweeted that they forgot to even announce the female performance category(the one she was up for) and was accused of being a "Seat filler" 4 times. lol

I tried to watch the show, but other than Neil P Harris, I couldn't stomach it.

Mass Effect should have won best character IMHO.

This show was [frick]ing embarrassing. And why'd they keep bringing out that douche cup Dane Cook? Ugh... Spike.

I dont think the show airs here in the UK, but I probably would have checked it out simply because I think that NPH is awesome. (or should that be legendary?) From what you lot are saying though, I'm glad I missed it! :D

It's been a crap year for games IMO with a lot of big releases (Medal of Honor and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 are two of the best examples) that were ultimately underwhelming. I very nearly gave up my PS3 until I bought Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. Red Dead Redemption was a deserving winner for it's brilliant last few hours if nothing else. It was an epic game (exactly what you'd expect from Rockstar) but I look forward to next year hopefully being a lot better.

@Guason 100% with you on that. Especially with Iron Maiden, if there was a video game based on that band it will be awarded game of the year without any hesitation.

this was soooo stupid and set up.You knew the winners before the awards were given.Im still upset the gears of war 3 news was pushed back, that was the only damn reason i wanted to watch the show.

I'm sorry but Battlefield: Bad Company 2 should have won best shooter. However once again Call of Duty (a.k.a most overrated game of all time thanks to rabid fanboys) gets the vote despite unrealistic gameplay and horrible, horrible multiplayer.

In my Opinion "Arkham City" is the MOST ANTICIPATED GAME.

@LOL I only signed in to tell you it's called outworld , not outland, ya bimbo. Lol.

Just saying, and no, Kratos does not belong there, and them putting exclusives was like opening pandora's box, now everyone's gonna want a guest character and soon future MK games will be full of them.

I said it once. And i will say it again. "Batman needs to to collect balls before he fight! Makes it less embarrassing when you lose the fight!" LOL!

Mass Effect 2 deserves every single award on that show, including multiplayer just for the heck of it lol.
Just kidding. I agree with everything there except for Red Dead Redemption. Cool game, but not game of the year.

Elder Scrolls V needs a better trailer but still looks awesome so far.
Mass Effect 3 is gonna rock the world!!!
