Since the announcement trailer was released, I've been excited for any news about this game, with the messed up part being that I despise DC. I've always though of Image being better than DC and that's bad cause I don't like Image except for Spawn. But what helps my excitement is due to the game developers, NetherRealm Studios. Alot of people would say that Infinity Ward is the best, No. For me, It's NetherRealm Studios. I feel that the Mortal Kombat franchise is the best and I feel that in videogames, Ed Boon is god.

Back to the subject of the article.

No one really knows anything about this game except for that it's a fighting game (my favorite genre), the characters that are announced, the interactive arenas and that there are two classes. So why an editorial? To express my excitement, explain my thoughts and my ideas. My thoughts on this game is that so far it looks fun as hell. I've always loved fighting games like Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. So a DC fighting game that's developed by NetherRealm Studios? Count me in! I've always wanted to kick Superman's ass but MK VS DC Universe didn't get it right. I understand this game will be pushing the T rating like TDK pushed the PG-13 rating. The roster is gonna be around the length of last year's Mortal Kombat (expect the always dumb Aquaman), check out my review for it here: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/GhostRiderfan1/news/?a=59885

From the story to the depth of the game overall. Expect NetherRealm Studios to succeed in doing what no other fighting genre company has done, make a deep fighting game.

The hero's are armored (although I'm questioning why have Harley Quinn in the game), which I think for a character like The Flash the armor makes him look better. This being NetherRealm Studios, expect some exaggerated things.

Here are my ideas. For starters, if you want it to be fun. In my opinion, DON'T INCLUDE AQUAMAN! He's always been a pointless character. For the special moves, include every power or gadget in the characters arsenal. It would make sense. If I'm playing as Superman, I wanna be able to fricking destroy Soloman Grundy.

Now the graphics aren't bad. But share your thoughts? What do you think the story is? What characters should and shouldn't be in the game, both hero's and villains. What game modes do you want besides online and arcade ladder? Comment below

DC games make a damn good trailer

Unfortunately it being a fighting game is the biggest drawback for me. I like character exploration and this doesn't look to offer it. BUT if I did like fighting games, this would be epic for me :)

Like you, fighting games are my favorite kind of games. Mortal Kombat is #1 for and the Mortal Kombat and comic book fan in me will definitely buy this game on the first day it comes out. It has a lot of potential.

Id like to see a Marvel vs DC done just like this. 50 or so playable characters, online PVP(maybe even teams), and a custom character leveling system.

You do know that Aquaman has tons of powers, right? He's got super strength and incrediblu tough skin so he can endure high pressures of the deep. He's bulletproof. So aside from talking to fish, he's actually formidable. Why would including Aquaman hurt the game at all?

Im not an Aquaman fan, I'll admit, but I still think he deserves a place in the game.

The game itself doesn't look that great but I love the costume designs especially Batman, Flash, and Superman. Batman's looks a little bit like the Nolan Batman and Superman looks a little bit like the Snyder version.

Bizarro and Superman both in a fighting game... would be similar to a color palette change. It would be far more ideal to pair the heroes with their respective villains - the ones who are NOT a great deal like them.

Hulk vs Abomination would be Hulk vs Hulk. Iron Man vs Crimson Dynamo would be Iron Man vs Iron Man. Not to knock on Marvel, but when it comes to DC, their villains seem to be far more varied and unique for the most part.

@Tainted87,
I see your point, how about Doomsday instead?

What about black Adam?

Solomon grundy is too similar to doomsday

Aquaman should be here

Heroes:
Batman
Superman
Wonderwoman
Flash
Gl
Aquaman
Martian manhunter
Cyborg

Villains:
Black Adam
Harley Quinn
Deathstroke
Lexus luthor
Brainiac
Circe
Solomon

I like the inclusion of Circe and Black Adam. I know a lot of people would like to see Deathstroke too.
If they include Reverse Flash, I'd like to see him use his speed for totally different moves. This way it doesn't just seem like you're changing skins with the Flash.
The reason I chose Black Canary, Cheetah, and Hawkgirl was to diversify the roster a little. What other bad ass females are out there besides Harley and Catwoman? Poison Ivy, maybe, Batgirl?

I don't think the roster is going to be THAT large. Batman has such a large gallery of characters that you could ideally make a Gotham City Royale.

Lets see.... all would possess some unique fighting skill along with a unique gadget. Separate the heroes from the villains by putting a major focus on combat for the vigilantes, and a focus on weapons for the rogues.

Vigilantes
Batman - balanced but slow build-up
Nightwing - fast melee brawler
Jason Todd - gun enthusiast
Red Robin - mobile, weak gadgets, fast build-up
Damian Wayne - extremely fast, but weak melee
Batwoman - aerial gadget enthusiast
Batgirl - fast, precise brawler
Huntress - strong but slow melee brawler
Spoiler - recovery enthusiast

Rogues
Joker - poison gas, electric hand shake
Two-Face - pistols, coin toss gives a 50% chance to boost effectiveness
Scarecrow - fear toxin (hallucinations give shielding)
Poison Ivy - long-ranged plant attacks
Clayface - extremely slow but durable, wields random-shaped weapons
Mr Freeze - ranged freeze attacks and freeze mines
Ra's al Ghul - extremely fast swordsman with regenerative powers
Talia al Ghul - ranged pistol attacks and evasive skills
Bane - extremely strong, venom decreases health but increases effectiveness
