New SUICIDE SQUAD: KILL THE JUSTICE LEAGUE Trailer Shines The Spotlight On The Brainiac-Corrupted Leaguers

There's something extremely unsettling about seeing Batman brandishing a gun with the intent to use it. However, this is most likely what the creators of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are aiming for in the current trailer.

Rocksteady presented a new teaser during the recent Game Awards ceremony, depicting the DC Comics superhero team's corruption as a result of the wicked schemes of Kryptonian supervillain, Brainiac.

The latest trailer arrives after the release of character-specific teasers for Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and King Shark. DLC is reportedly in the works that will introduce more playable characters. Dataminers have reportedly already identified that 3 more DLC characters are on the way.

Rocksteady previously asserted that the Suicide Squad will level the playing field with the Justice League by raiding the Hall of Justice's armory and grabbing a few crucial assets that will provide significant power-ups, such as a couple of Batman's gadgets, Dr. Sivana's Speed Force Gauntlet, and others.

As the trailer confirms, Wonder Woman will also make an appearance in the game as the lone Justice Leaguer Braniac fails to capture. The Suicide Squad might serve as a backup for the Amazonian princess as she strives to release her allies, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and The Flash.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on February 2, 2024.

A closed alpha came-and-went between November 30 and December 4, without much fanfare, a telling sign that the game isn't exactly high on many radars.

In the years to come, we will look back and say: before the GTAVI trailer, and after the GTAVI trailer...

This is a slide into home plate at the bottom of the 9th at best...

I'm so unbelievably unexcited for this game. The gameplay looks very fortnite-ish, the characters seem uninteresting, the story looks generic and it's all way too goofy now.

But still, Rocksteady delivered big time with the Arkham games, and the inclusion of Wonder Woman definitely piques my interest. I'll give it a chance, eventually.

Damn! I'm not a gamer anymore but this looks amazing! I can't believe how more and more of these games look so realistic.

I mean, this sucker had me excited years ago and wishing who ever made would direct a movie:

If this had been in development for nine years, I guess we know why we have this game.

At the time they thought Suicide Squad was going to be the next big thing, like Iron Man levels of popularity.

How are we in 2023 almost 2024 and Superman still doesn’t have a game since Superman Returns and the best JL odd on PS2

This game looks like a swamp donkey and they got the same guy to voice Brainiac from injustice 2 who was boring as shit. I don't mind the actor but his Brainiac was so lifeless. Bad enough we already got that emotionless void of a villain in Injustice 2.

Cool trailer even if it really isn't in what I'd like to play. But some parts of the gameplay looked good.

Gorillaz' song fitted too.

It's hard to comprehend that Rocksteady went from putting out the 3 awesome Arkham games in the span of 6 years, to taking 9 years to make this. It doesn't appeal to me much at all, which is such a bummer.

You know what one of the biggest issues is for me? I don't want to kill the [frick]ing Justice League. Why are we supposed to want these criminals to kill the heroes we actually like? Including the Arkham version of Batman!

So we're either going to use bad guys to kill good guys (albeit mind-controlled good guys), or the title of the game is actually a lie, & we don't kill them at all. Feels like a lose-lose scenario to me.
