Hot on the heals of the SS3 Broly and limited edition announcement, NAMCO BANDAI Turns the heat up further on Dragon Ball: Raging Blast with the announcement of a second game-exclusive brand-new character, Vegeta Super Saiyan 3. Following in the footsteps of Broly Super Saiyan 3 recently revealed as an exclusive new character for the hotly anticipated title, the Vegeta Super Saiyan 3 character transformation has never previously appeared in either the anime, movies or any of the previous video games, making his world debut in Dragon Ball: Raging Blast this November.

Never before has Vegeta been able to reach the Super Saiyan 3 transformation stage, and so for the first time he can meet his bitter rival Goku Super Saiyan 3 on even terms for the ultimate mountain-smashing Dragon Ball duel.

The content-packed Limited Edition and the standard retail version are scheduled for launch across North America on November 10 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation 3.

Vegeta never hit SS3... this saddens me that they want to throw incorrect lore into games... This is worse than playing Marvels Ultimate Alliance 2 to see venom in one scene (the Mac Gargan recent one) then a few areas later, and what do you get? Green Goblin and the SCORPION (Also Mac Gargan) in the same room!!! ive said it once and ill say it again.... FAIL
also brolly never hit ss3, the guy didnt need to... he WAS the legendary super saiyin

Yup Bman, he cheated :) He could only go up to SSJ2, but Bulma made a device that boosted him to SSJ4.

hey there! new user here, from Brazil, but a looong time visitor!
love CBM! =]

actually Vegeta was able to transform in SSJ3 only once in the anime, when he was possessed by the alien Baby in DBGT in the form of "Baby Vegeta".

What is the gameplay like in these games?

Is it free roaming? Do you have direct control over the player's moves? ...and why is it they keep saying SS3 vageta is a playable character? Isn't SS3 an ability that the character vageta can use in the game? Do you have to pick "regular" vegeta and then have him turn into a super saiyen.

I just don't get this game, but I am interested...

Vegeta theoretically had the power to reach Super Saiyan 3, but he never learned how to. It's like trying to stick a square key in a round hole.
And Macksimus, to answer your question, there were 2 types of games. The classic street fighter setup, and then there was a more free arena type. You could survey the field at ground level, and fly up a good distance. If you want a feel for each look up DragonBall Z Budokai 3 and DragonBall Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 gameplay on youtube. This game will be like the Tenkaichi series. Out of everything that was released on the PS2 and current generation consoles pertaining to Dragonball Z, (and I've played them all), I'd recommend those two and/or Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2. Probably out you 15 bucks used for any 2.
And Baby Vegeta is not a Super Saiyan form. At least it's not considered to be. He was possessed and Baby Vegeta is an amalgamation of a Tuffle (Baby's race) and a Saiyan (Vegeta). I'm a big DBZ fan, I can clear up questions real quick.

The most emotional scene in DBZ is when Vegeta dies fighting Buu. Will always be my favourite anime character!

Ok... even though i love Vegeta. He whines too much about not being able to beat Goku. Had Bulma create a machine to make him a SSJ 4 cause he couldnt come up with the power to become a SSJ3 to begin with. And Brolly was a Legendary SSJ... You know what his SSJ2 form wouldve looked like??? Just like a SSJ4 because he had that much power. I think its total BS that Goku beat Brolly just cause Vegeta decided to give him his power right at the end.

No. No. No. No. No. Keep it true to the original! This is like when Lucas decided to digitally update the original Star Wars. No. Screw that.

Still gunna play it, but i'm going to hate myself for it.

no i think it will be fun something different maybe even give him a new type of blast..

but the reason why he skipped was because they needed someone to be as strong as goku so bulma made a device to help him turn into ssj4.. but i've always like the drawings of him in ssj3
Majick
Majick - 10/15/2009, 4:16 PM
Why would anyone want to keep it the same as the anime? DragonBall Z has had at least 12 different games come out since the release of the Playstation 2 (Not including handhelds). I'm glad they finally decided to mix it up. Hell if they want to make a sandbox game with the DB characters, I'd go for that too. Enough of the same. But I guess if nobody played the games over the last few years, they'd probably tend to want to keep the original, maybe. I wouldn't know

I'm not a Dragonball an, but these games are some awesome ass kicking entertainment. Every time a new one comes out I have this nutjob DBZ fanboy friend who (like Luffy I'm sure) scoops these up upon release. They are lots of fun. I can't wait.

That was Babi ALOT more than it was vegeta. it was a bs way for him to hit ss3 if some people claim so. GT was kind of fail in the first place anyways
hbk82287
hbk82287 - 10/16/2009, 11:35 AM
the SS3 vegeta from the video above and the Babi one are VERY different. yea after getting SS4 he could do that if he wanted... wouldnt understand why... its basically an unstable form of the SS. Strong yes, but its weakness lies in its short time period it lasts. Fights drag on way too long in DB, lol

skull - 10/16/2009, 3:14 PM
@hbk82287: I agree... GT sucked hairy balls...

the battles in the anime lasted too long... that's why I preffer the manga.
