STAR WARS JEDI: SURVIVOR - Trailer & 2023 Release Date For FALLEN ORDER Sequel Revealed

Fans were hoping for an update on Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel during Star Wars Celebration, and we now have an exciting cinematic trailer and tentative release date for Survivor!

After months of uncertainty, EA officially announced that a direct sequel to Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was in development back in January, and we now have a first look at Star Wars Jedi: Survivor via an exciting cinematic trailer.

The teaser doesn't give much away, but we are introduced to a menacing new Pau'an villain who appears to have gotten his hands on Cal Kestis' lightsaber. Speaking of the young force-wielder (now a full Jedi by the sounds of it), we see him approaching a mysterious figure in a bacta tank with his loyal droid BD-1 perched on his shoulder.

Where are the allies Cal gained in the first game? It's not clear, but we assume Cere Junda, Greez Dritus, and Nightsister Merrin will appear in some capacity.

Check out the trailer below along with a new synopsis.

"Star Wars Jedi: Survivor picks up five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal must stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit as he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy. Accompanied by his trusty companion BD-1, Cal will meet and ally himself with an array of unique and interesting characters on his journey. Jedi: Survivor will expand on the series’ dynamic combat in new and innovative ways. In order to survive, Cal must learn new skills and grow his connection with the Force."

The highly-anticipated Star Wars action RPG will be released on next-gen platforms PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC at some point in 2023. No word on whether the game will be available for past-gen consoles, but with more developers shifting focus to new-gen systems, it seems unlikely.

Perhaps the mysterious figure in the bacta tank is Master jorus c'baoth. Defeated during Order 66, he is inert inside a tank.

He is a surviving Jedi.

@Repian - Malicos in the first game felt so similiar to Joorus C'baoth from the novels that I was convinced he was some kind reimagined version of the character. I think you might be on to something there. What if Malicos was some kind of clone of Jorus C'baoth that was sent to deal with night sisters. There has been talk that Filioni wants to re-adapt Timothy Zahn novels to the new canon.

@Repian -
I actually thought that YHWH-looking guy in the first game was going to be Jorus C'Baoth when he first showed up.

When I eventually get a ps5 I'll play this. Probably get one when Wolverine is released.

Loving this, but also - surely we're gonna see Cal pop up in one of the shows, right? Cameron Monaghan could obviously play him exactly as he does in the games, and there's plenty of opportunity between Andor, Obi-Wan (less likely), Ahoska & Mando.

The timeline of the game matches with the Obi-wan Kenobi show timeline, which is 10 years. I'm wondering if we'll see him in the show, or in a post/mid credit scene. Keep an eye out for Cal Kestis.

Was that the Grand Inquisitor? Can't really tell, since he doesn't look like the live-action version at all (unlike Cal, who is a carbon copy of Cameron Monaghan).

Anyway, I'm pretty excited to see this one. Hopefully we get to see someone like Maul or Obi-Wan Kenobi show up.

@bkmeijer1 - I was under the impression that was The Grand Inquisitor.

I don’t understand this site.
They have the main site, the Sci Fi site, the wrestling lite and Gamefragger, but when I checked those out nobody comments there. It seems like the only place people comment is here.

So why not just write all of the articles here instead of writing an article on those sites and linking to it here via another article.

It doesn’t make sense.

@SpaceParanoids - Those sister sites are a very recent addition. Everything use to be here and people haven't really gotten use to those sites and don't often bother goign there since most of the big news are still here anyway.

@SpaceParanoids - I guess they're still good for clicks, but that's not a measure we'll be able to see.

As for why I don't comment on there is probably because the really big articles make it over here anyway.

This is how the Grand Inquisitor should have looked in Obi-Wan.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - This design is sinister like Nosferatu and can even be fearsome...

But this is a joke.

I shot myself in the foot with this game. I really enjoyed it, but I found one of the lightsaber battles too difficult and gave up - that was a year ago! I can't remember the controls, so I'll be even worse in combat, and it's left me in a position where I can't finish the game.

It had a handful of bugs, too...

Once again people who use last gen consoles which still make the vast majority of the market place by the way might possibly be getting screwed over thanks EA , Lucasfilm and Disney.
