The chick-flinging Rovio Entertainment app will be getting the film treatment on July 1st, 2016. Recently, the film has found it's two directors, who are Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly, making their directorial debuts and have been storyboard artists, and two long-time workers for the wonderful world of Disney Animation and it's Pixar films. The duo has had their fair-share of works on animation such as on 2D animation and 3D animation including the upcoming Pixar film known as Frozen. Fergal Reilly has also been the storyboard artist for one of the best comic book films of all time, Spider-Man 2.

Be sure to check out Angry Birds, soaring to theaters July 1st, 2016 in 3D.

Why? Because of the depth of character, the epic plot. This thing is perfect for a film. Fvck the game. Not enough dialogue. Not enough pathos. Angry Birds would've made a lot more money had it simly been pitched as a film in the first place.

Is Angry Birds still relevant enough to deserve a movie?
I feel as though they just became another game whose intense popularity ended up being short lived like doodlejump, candy crush or whatever mobile-gamers are playing these days.
It seems as if Rovio are the only ones still trying to reach beyond their limits.
