UNCHARTED Finds A Director In 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE'S Dan Trachtenberg; Tom Holland Still Attached To Star
Sony's troubled Uncharted movie has found a new director, as Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) has signed on to take the helm of the video game adaptation. Tom Holland is still expected to star...
Sony's planned adaptation of popular video game series Uncharted has not had the easiest of journeys to the big screen, but the studio will be hoping it's plain sailing from here on in as a new director has boarded the project.
Variety reports that 10 Cloverfield Lane's Dan Trachtenberg has signed on to replace Shawn Levy, who was forced to depart the project due to scheduling conflicts.
We found out that Spider-Man actor Tom Holland was attached to star as a young Nathan Drake a few months back, and the trade confirms that he is still on board. Holland sent out a Tweet earlier today, seemingly teasing a Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer announcement, but it looks like he may actually have been referring to this news!
We're still not sure what to expect from the plot, but the most recent script draft from Jonathan Rosenberg and Mark Walker focused on a young Drake encountering Sullivan for the first time. That old rogue has yet to be cast, but it would be a fine role for any number of veteran Hollywood stars.
