Antonio Banderas has reportedly joined the cast of Sony Pictures'
Uncharted movie.
According to
Variety, the Academy Award-nominated
Pain and Glory star has signed on for an undisclosed role alongside the previously cast Tom Holland (Nathan Drake) and Mark Wahlberg Sully). The report also confirms that
Venom director Reuben Fletcher has officially closed his deal to helm the long-gestating project.
Sophia Ali (
Grey's Anatomy, Truth or Dare) and Tati Gabrielle (
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) have also joined the cast in key roles, but we have no details on which characters they'll play.
Art Marcum and Matt Holloway wrote the most recent draft of the script.
Uncharted is set to release in theaters March 5, 2021.
