UNCHARTED Movie Starring Tom Holland Lands BUMBLEBEE Director Travis Knight

Uncharted has been in the works for what feels like forever but the movie (starring Tom Holland as a young Nathan Drake) has finally landed a director! Find out more details on what's happening right here.

Sony Pictures is in talks with Bumblebee director Travis Knight to take the helm of the long-delayed Uncharted movie. Tom Holland is still attached to play the young Nathan Drake and it's said that he's been involved with the talks to find a new director ever since Dan Trachtenberg became the latest filmmaker to walk away from the video game adaptation.

As well as that Transformers spinoff, Knight also helmed on Kubo and The Two Strings

The latest version of the Uncharted screenplay was written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Rafe Judkins. It's said that the movie will focus on Nathan Drake as a young man as he grows into the treasure hunter we all know and love from the hit PlayStation series.

That's already explored Nate's childhood, so it will obviously be interesting seeing what this movie brings to the table. Common sense says that this story won't serve as a prequel to the games and will instead be a new take that's simply inspired by them. We'll have to wait and see but assuming there aren't any more "creative differences," things will hopefully start moving quickly now.

Are you guys excited for Uncharted

Great news!

This gives me hope, considering Bumblebee was the best film in the TF franchise since 2007 lol

@L0RDbuckethead - Detective Pikachu already broke it. Sonic's going to put it back in sadly.

I think it's a good choice, he did a good job with Bumblebee.

@BritishMonkey - Not gonna happen, Tom Hanks as Sully would be epic though, doubt he’d do this type of film at this point in his career though. Michael Keaton would be a great choice as well.

@Jhuntdaprodigy - It would be funny to get Michael Keaton in for it but Tom Hanks would be a very nice touch.
