VIDEO GAMES: First Trailer And Screenshots From Gameloft's THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

Remember SNAKE? Mobile games have changed a lot since then, and Gameloft's The Amazing Spider-Man (for the iPhone, iPad and Android devices) will allow players to explore the whole of New York City as the Marvel superhero. Check out the first trailer and screenshots here.

Gamers will be able to play The Amazing Spider-Man on consoles such as the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 later this month, but Gameloft are currently hard at work on a mobile version which will be released alongside the movie on July 3rd. As you can see from the trailer and screenshots below, it looks equally as good graphically as the kind of video games you would have expected from the last generation of consoles. The promise of a free roaming experience is a massive step forward for Spider-Man's mobile adventures, and various sources indicate that it will be compatible with 3D devices.

Is it sad when a cellphone game can compete with it's console predecessor?

I had a blast with Total Mayhem, but this looks like it will be at least a huge graphical improvement over that game. I'll be excited to check it out on the iPad 3's ridiculously awesome retina display.

Uhh this is a MOBILE game, I don't think you understand that this is some of the best mobile games can put out at the time.

@UncannyXman

Once again this is a Mobile game, not the Console version. Plus, they're not even out yet. No reviews till then. Previews maybe...
