VIDEO GAMES: INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US Gets A Release Date & "Battle Edition"

Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment have confirmed the release date for their upcoming fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us, and have also announced a "Battle Edition" which includes a fight stick and three New 52 skins among other things.

Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment have announced today that their highly anticipated fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us, will be hitting stores on April 16th. The game, which sees some of DC Comics' biggest characters brawling with one another, will be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii U. Additionally, an Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Edition has been announced, and will be available in limited quantities at Gamestop and EB Games in Canada and the United States on that date. A separate Collector's Edition will be separately for $99.99. The Battle Edition has a retail price of $149.99, and includes the following:

-Exclusive DC Collectibles statue featuring iconic characters Batman and Wonder Woman, the Fortress of Solitude, and the Last Son of Krypton’s escape ship
-Special Collector’s Edition of the Injustice: Gods Among Us comic book
-Digital download of DC Universe animated film Justice League: Doom
-Three exclusive skins for the New 52 costumes of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman
-Exclusive Injustice: Gods Among Us Fight Stick, a lightweight controller that boasts a non-skid foam underside, a lockout feature for the Start, Select and Guide buttons, as well as adjustable illumination for the buttons and joystick.
-Unique Steelbook (International Version)

Heck yah, but maybe not this version. The only thing worth having is the new skin. But of course, I love to collect "Collector's Editions". So...we will see.

anyone know why the statue is diff then the one that was posted months ago? i pre ordered it for the statue of wonder woman about to kill batman with Superman's ship, this one is lame.

Unfortunately that Injustice Statue is the Uk version. The US version has Wonder Woman with the Lasso around Batman's neck. It is a lot less cool but I'll still probably pick it up.

The story mode is basically Batman vs. Superman. -_-/

And of course, Batman is the one who's the good guy and Superman is the one gone rouge. Isn't it funny how the least trusting, douchiest, controllingest member of the Justice League is the one that people always want to deem the incorruptible and never would do wrong, but the good guy is the one who they always flip? -_-

@PatriotsSuperguy,couldn't agree more. I wanna destroy every single DC staff just for that reason for a lot of times....but i guess the reason for that is mostly because if superman gone bad, things are pretty bleak for the rest of the hero (he is so super...), while despite all those stupid bat-god crap, when it comes to turning batman into a major villian against world, writers instantly realize he is the least threat the heros can ever face...so, they keep quiet and continue to promote their bat-god crap even though they know it's the most ridiculous thing in the world...

@ jessepostal No, thats def a new arcade stick. It has more buttons than the one on the MK controller.

I'm really excited about this. You can tell Netherealm Studios has some real quality control compared to the now defunct Midway.

Hate that this isn't that statue for the American Collector's Edition. American style has WW and Batman in the armored suits with her strangling Batman and about to slam something into him.

All of the DLC included here in these collector's edition and battle-edition will be released later on some-time after launch. So yes, standard-edition will be fine by me, i'll pick up the extra DLC later on, and tbh can do without that mediocre statue or a lightweight and flimsy arcade-style gamepad.

Awesome stuff! But, I think I'll just stick to the regular version. I'm getting the Wii U for my daughters b-day, in April as well, so I'm not going to have enough for any special editions.

Hell Yeah! I haven't been this excited for a fighting game in awhile!

Those DLC skins are awesome! Superman's MOS suit, WW's New 52 suit, and Batman's Arkham City suit.
