LEGO Marvel Collection, which released earlier this month, represents a major milestone for developer TT Games. The compilation bundles three previously released games -
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes,
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 and
LEGO Marvel’s Avengers - and all of the existing DLC into one package.
While the
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes games had their own original stories,
LEGO Marvel's Avengers featured storylines from the Marvel Studios' films
Marvel's The Avengers and
Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron. DLC for the games, such as the
Black Panther and
Infinity War character and level packs, added new content inspired by Marvel Studios' blockbusters - essentially covering everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe up until the upcoming
Avengers: Endgame.
I recently had the chance to
interview TT Games via CBM's sister site, GameFragger, and since we're just a few weeks away from the movie's release, I asked if the developer had any plans to develop
Endgame DLC for
LEGO Marvel Collection or even beyond into Phase 4 of the MCU.
"We don’t have any plans for Avengers: Endgame content at the moment," said TT Games Senior Producer Matt Ellison. "
In terms of Marvel, this LEGO Marvel Collection has very much been our focus. We are very excited to see what happens with Phase 4 as well, and if people are asking for more LEGO Marvel games then we’ll be listening!"
While nothing beyond
LEGO Marvel Collection has been announced, I did ask if Marvel has clued them into the events of
Endgame and beyond. Head on over to
GameFragger for our full interview with TT Games on the
LEGO Marvel Collection and more.
