Following the strong success of the smash-hit game Transformers: War for Cybertron, the much-anticipated sequel has so far offered much more than what the first featured, from greater multiplayer options to the revelation of the Dinobot Grimlock being a playable character, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will be sure to please the hardcore Transformers fans out there, and will probably be one of the best games in the franchise to date. Surprisingly, one of the more interesting characters of the Transformers world has now been confirmed to have an appearance in the upcoming game. Check it out below.

Today, the buzz probably went a little higher than that when Insecticon Hardshell was unveiled - it might be a coincidence that Hardshell will also show up in Transformers Prime this weekend. Not much is known about the character at this point, including whether he will be playable in the game. What we do know is that Hardshell (the alternate name of Bombshell, an Insecticon in the Generation 1 series) joins fellow Insecticon Kickback in the game.

Also posted was a new promotional still for the character. Check it out below:

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is slated for release this fall.

@Asterisk aside from the animation that takes a bit of getting used to, it's great! It's like the Cybertron games in how they merge the art style from the movies with the G1 designs but has a great story, good voice acting and (mostly) likable characters. The only fault so far seems to be the compulsory human characters being kind of annoying
