I think this will be surprisingly good. This has the potential of being the new Call of Duty 4. Brand new everything, a fresh start.

Looks awful is you compare it to the new Battlefield game, however I'll wait until I see some gameplay and not just cut scenes and scripted sequences like we saw in the trailer.

Stephen Gaghan! No way, totally left field and unexpected move for COD. Still not going to play it, never been in to COD but nice to see great writers getting involved with games. Hopefully the gameplay can match the story.

I wish that COD: Ghosts was about actual ghosts of dead soldiers, who fought demons using supernatural style weapons.

I don't hate COD, I just think that they should just all concentrate on one thing at a time and take time to make it, all by cancelling this annual release thing they have. I hate Infinity Ward though.

Black Ops 2 was very good until its revealed that you choose not just your path to whatever ending but your choice to make whatever event happen when the game asks you to do. The first Black Ops in my opinion had the best storyline, they handled the twist pretty well.

Give me something new and interesting besides new maps, a new story and new guns every year. Give me a reason to buy it. Give me something new. That's my biggest gripe with Call of Duty. Same shit every year. Nothing truly new is added to if. People zip through the campaign and spend the next year playing multiplayer online. Franchise needs either a serious reboot or just die already.

Everyone hates Call of Duty because it IS the only game other than sports games where its the same game every year.

BlOps:2 is whack. 20k in the morning 5k at night for multiplayer. On Free/Double XP Weekends its up to 40-50k and then all the reports come in about undetectable hacks/cheats. It's pathetic.

Soto: Actually, I don't like those games either cause its the same thing every time. Nothing is done. Nothing new and exciting that'll keep me just with the game. Which is one of the biggest reasons Mortal Kombat and Assassin's Creed are my two favorite game and game franchises. They're interesting and they give me a reason on play. They change up and add to the gameplay and the game as a whole as well as better graphics. The 300 mission challenge tower is a perfect example. The fact you compared Call of Duty to Marvel is insulting to me as a Marvel fan. Compare Call of Duty to Image comic based films. Not a single good film based off of an Image comic and not a single good game in the Call of Duty franchise. Actually, all first person shooters suck.

@SotoJuiceMan LOL yeah I mean...th elast COD I played was COD 2 on PC...then I kinda lost interest...but it never was about the story for me,I was always more excited for the Multiplayer...I'd say Battlefield 3 sells more units having MP mode than it would if it didn't...well,and most of these FPS games too.

@MartinMarvel Yeah I know I mean,is like what happens now with Uncharted 3:Multiplayer...they now released a version that is free to play but you don't get story, only the MP campaigns,and people will probably start skipping on the actual game only to play the MP(although I highly doubt it,the Uncharted series is AWESOME).So I get what you're saying that spending money just to play MP and nothing more is... well,a waste.

@Soto: I understand where you are coming from. The games come out every year though. They add nothing to the experience. Games like Mortal Kombat, ect have survived so long because they add something new to the game that would hopefully and obviously successfully bring an experience more exciting and more fun than the last. When a game comes out for the same franchise every year, its bound to suck. They spend no time making a quality game. Also, to answer your question, Minecraft does suck. It's boring as hell.

This franchise needs a rest. Really, every year we get a new game, the first 2 i liked, CoD 4 I liked, but the rest are just pure shit. That's because it gets old.

After it "died" for awhile, they improved on everything from before. Yes, it was different from what was going on at the time. No, I'm not a hipster.I know Marvel is going to be releasing a movie every year now but, they're not releasing the same movie every year though. Call of Duty releases the same game every year. The only thing new about the games is he campaign and they take out and add in old guns every release. At least with something like Mortal Kombat, they change it up and it works (even though it didn't after Mortal Kombat 3 and before Deadly Alliance). I don't want the same game every year, I want something new that will keep me occupied for a while. That's what you're not grasping. Call of Duty doesn't offer anything new. Never has.
