Xbox's event to mark the 20th Anniversary of the popular Halo video game franchise is set to take place later today, but it looks like one of the surprises has leaked online a little earlier than scheduled.
Thanks to DexertoSpartans, we have a first look at some footage from the live-action Halo series coming to the Paramount+ streaming service. The teaser is very brief, and only features a couple of close-up shots of Master Chief's (Pablo Schreiber) armour, gloves, 117 insignia, and iconic helmet as we hear Cortana's voice say, "Hello, Master Chief."
It's not much, but after a series of production woes and serious setbacks almost derailed this long-gestating adaptation altogether, fans will likely be happy to see some proof that the show is still heading our way at some point.
UPDATE: The teaser has now been officially released!
Halo will also star Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Bentley Kalu, Natasha Culzac, Yerin Ha and Kate Kennedy.
According to an official logline, the series will focus on "an epic 26th century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. Halo will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future."
