2K and Fixaxis' upcoming tactical RPG Marvel's Midnight Suns will launch on October 7, 2022, after being hit with a brief delay from this summer. The game will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch version coming at a later date.

A release date wasn't the only big news, as a cinematic trailer revealed Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch as two unlockable playable characters. Spider-Man will be voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who has voiced the web-slinger in multiple Marvel projects, most notable being Insomniac Games' PlayStation exclusive Marvel's Spider-Man.

This now brings the roster of playable characters in Marvel's Midnight Suns to 12, including Doctor Strange, Magik, Iron Man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Blade, Captain America, Nico Minoru, Captain Marvel, and you, the Hunter. There's still one more hero to be revealed, although Firaxis has confirmed they will be unlocked only when you beat the game.

Marvel's Midnight Suns explore Marvel's darker, supernatural side. With Hydra having revived Lilith, Mother of Demons, the Avengers enlist the help of the Midnight Suns to prevent total destruction. Together, they resurrect the Hunter, Lilith's forsaken child and the only hero known to have ever defeated her. As you probably guessed, you take on the role of The Hunter, a completely customizable hero that you can build the way you want to fit your playstyle.

When the demonic Lilith and her fearsome horde unite with the evil armies of Hydra, it’s time to unleash Marvel’s dark side. As The Hunter, your mission is to lead an unlikely team of seasoned Super Heroes and dangerous supernatural warriors to victory. Can legends such as Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Blade put aside their differences in the face of a growing apocalyptic threat? If you’re going to save the world, you'll have to forge alliances and lead the team into battle as the legendary Midnight Suns - Earth's last line of defense against the underworld.

With a release date now set, Marvel's Midnight Suns is now available for pre-order with four different Editions available. Here's what's included with each:

  • The Standard Edition will be available for $59.99* on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It includes the base game;
  • The Enhanced Edition will be available for $69.99* on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It includes a next-gen optimized version of the game for next-gen consoles and five premium cosmetic skins;
  • The Digital+ Edition will be available for $79.99* on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It includes 11 premium cosmetic skins. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S SKUs include the next-gen optimized version of the game for next-gen consoles;
  • The Legendary Edition will be available for $99.99* on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It includes 23 premium cosmetic skins, as well as access to the post-launch Marvel’s Midnight Suns Season Pass.

Marvel's Midnight Suns releases worldwide on October 7, 2022, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The Switch version is coming at a later date.
