X-MEN Profile Avatars Finally Arrive On Disney+ As Animated Series Revival Speculation Mounts

Disney+ has added a whole host of X-Men profile avatars to the streaming service, and speculation is already running rampant that there could be something big coming. Find out more details after the jump!

Last night, Disney+ added some new X-Men profile avatars to the streaming service. As you can see below, characters like Professor X, Magneto, Cyclops, Wolverine, Rogue, Storm, Beast, Gambit, Jubilee, and Jean Grey have all received the spotlight, and their likenesses are based on how they appeared in X-Men: The Animated Series

Each of the heroes appear to have received slight makeovers, and with the live-action X-Men movies still absent from the streaming service (in the United States, at least), it's hard not to wonder whether an announcement about them could be forthcoming.

There is also hope among fans that The New Mutants could end up receiving a Disney+ premiere.

Another idea that's been doing the rounds over the past 24 hours is that some sort of revival of X-Men: The Animated Series is in the works due to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige being a fan of the show and it being viewed as the definitive take on these mutants by many fans. That could be wishful thinking, of course, but a sequel of some sort would definitely be appreciated.

For now, all we know is that there are some new X-Men avatars available on Disney+, and it's hard to say which is the coolest (we're going with either Jean Grey or Storm, though).

They should just remaster the originals! The dvd/90s vhs quality is really noticeable

If they do revive it, they should make it anime style. The art and action scenes are so much better.

@mastakilla39 - Maybe some inspiration from Netflix Castlevania?

To me, Cathal J Dodd is to Wolverine what Kevin Conroy is to Batman.

@TheManWithoutFear - He's the OG for sure, but whenever I read Wolverine in a comic, Steven Blum's voice is what comes to mind.

@Tonic24k - Gambit’s my boy. This show got me into comics - a 22 year collection of them. And to think I totally got into them by accident - I set the VCR to record Ren & Stimpy to see what the hell everyone at school was going on about, but it finished the week before and X-Men started that day. Best. Accident. Ever.

@Tasmaniac - Gotta love it! Yeah man, this show is nostalgia central for me. Been slowly working my way thru the seasons since D+ came out.
